The Dallas Cowboys are attempting to sweep the rival New York Giants for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Dallas is moving toward a first NFC East title since 2018. If/when that happens, it would mark the 17th straight season that there haven’t been back-to-back champions in this division.
Four of the previous six games in the series were one-score games before a 24-point Cowboy romp in Texas in October.
It has been a season full of injuries for the New York Giants, especially at the offensive skill positions. Quarterback Daniel Jones (neck) has missed the last two games and his replacements aren’t exactly stealing the job away. There are less-than-promising reports surrounding Jones’ return to the field this season.
Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons continues to pull away from the field in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year race. Parsons added two more sacks to his growing total.
Dallas (+1100) has the fifth-best scores and odds among NFC teams to win the Super Bowl.

Head-to-Head
The Dallas Cowboys were listed by the NFL picks against the spread as seven-point favorites against the visiting New York Giants when the teams played Oct. 10.
A pair of Ezekiel Elliott touchdowns in the second half turned what was a one-score affair into the most lopsided result in the series since a 30-point win by the Giants in 2002.
The 44-20 victory went well over the 53-point total. It was the fifth time in the last six Cowboys-Giants games that the final score went over the total.

Last Game
The visiting Cowboys were listed by the NFL point spreads as 4½-point favorites against NFC East rival Washington Football Team.

Washington backup quarterback Kyle Allen was sacked by Randy Gregory, fumbling while trying to pass and effectively ending the game. Allen was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday

Last Game
The visiting New York Giants were listed as 10½-point underdogs by the Las Vegas odds against the Los Angeles Chargers. Any chance of New York springing the upset ended when the Chargers scored 30 unanswered points on the strength of three Justin Herbert touchdown passes.
Giants’ backup quarterback Mike Glennon ran for one score and passed for another in the fourth quarter to pull New York within 16 points late in the fourth quarter.
Glennon’s touchdown pass to Saquan Barkley with 4:33 left to play put the game over the 44½-point total.
Injury Report
Quarterback Jones, defensive back Adoree Jackson (quadricep) and defensive lineman Leonard Williams (elbow) are questionable. Offensive lineman Wes Martin and receiver Kadarius Toney are on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Linebacker Trent Harris (ankle), tight end Kaden Smith (knee) offensive lineman Kyle Murphy (ankle) and defensive back Darnay Holmes (ribs) are on injured reserve.

Cowboys vs Giants Final Betting Analysis
Dallas ranks second in the NFL in total offense (409.1 yards per game) and second in scoring with (29.2 points per game) while the Giants are scoring just 17.8 points per game.
Both defenses have had some issues. Dallas ranks 23rd in total defense, New York 26th.
The news is not all bad for the Dallas defense as the Cowboys lead the league with 20 interceptions, nine by second-year cornerback Trevon Diggs.
Dallas has covered in 10 of its last 13 games and the way these teams are trending, this is certainly a game that Dallas should cover However, counting on the Cowboys to do anything during the latter stages of recent seasons has proven to be risky business.
The total has gone under in six of the last seven Dallas games as well as in six of the Giants’ last seven games.
