Deion Sanders Has a Preferred Destination for Shedeur Sanders
Regarding Shedeur Sanders’ Potential NFL Destination, It Seems Dad Knows Best With a Possible NY Landing Spot
Prime Time Wants Shedeur to Go to NY
Ever heard the saying “Father knows best”?
When it comes to Shedeur Sanders’ potential NFL draft landing spots, Deion Sanders, head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football team and one of the sport’s most polarizing figures, especially after seeing his $4 million backyard, has apparently made up his mind on which team, or well, city Shedeur ends up in.

When asked at a recent conference which team he thinks will draft the former Buffaloes starting quarterback, Coach Prime said, “Let’s hope it’s New York.”

Always in the Spotlight
Of course, Sanders’ words quickly made headlines across NFL news outlets, with early speculation that the Giants, current holders of this year’s No.3 overall pick in the draft, were depicted as the squad unofficially chosen by Shedeur’s pops as the favored destination for Shedeur.
Funnily enough, while in my first mock draft, I had Shedeur go to the Cleveland Browns and, in my second mock, go to the Las Vegas Raiders. The idea of the Giants being an active participant in the Sanders sweepstakes never really took flight.
Until now, at least.
As NFL rumors began circulating more and more on Deion’s statement, Colorado’s head coach wasted no time refuting the information, taking to Instagram and stating: “THIS IS A LIE! We’re thankful for whatever God chooses for them.”
Deion Sanders refuted the false report that he said he was hoping Shedeur would get drafted by New York.

So, is Shedeur going to the Giants something to keep an eye on or just fluff?
What Is Going Through the Giants’ Minds Right Now?
While everybody’s been getting all up in their feelings about Sanders heading or not to New York, has anybody checked in with the Giants to see what they’re up to?
It’s no secret that whatever happens this offseason, especially in the draft, could determine the futures of head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen.
After one of the biggest offseason fumbles in recent history, letting Saquon Barkley leave for the Philadelphia Eagles, which would consequently lead to the Giants having a horrible season, winning only three NFL games out of 17, it’s safe to say Daboll and Schoen, but especially Schoen, cannot afford any mistakes.
The Giants need to draft a rookie QB and win 8-9 games for Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen to save their jobs, @ChaseDaniel says.

If, for a second, the Giants think signing Jameis Winston to a two-year deal means a quick fix to their quarterback problems, they should just quit the league in general.
And no, this doesn’t mean I hate Winston signing with the Giants. Not at all. Just picturing a potential Winston/Malik Nabers link-up automatically makes me think of endless NFL prop-betting possibilities for next season.
But no, Winston is not the answer.

With that said though, if the Giants are truly interested in taking Shedeur, having him be mentored by a veteran like Winston makes sense and has an undeniable upside.
If you allow Sanders the chance to grow into the idea of having to be the Giants’ franchise savior without throwing him into the lion’s den from the get-go, the potential for positive results is too good to pass up.
He can take some time learning the ropes that come with playing in the pros and truly understand how an NFL offense works, especially one in dire need of a facelift like New York’s.
Who knows, maybe he could end up pushing Deion to take his coaching talents to the pros.
“If I’m the Giants, I got Jameis. I’m drafting Shedeur. Jameis would be a great mentor, personality-wise, and if Shedeur’s not ready, he can play.”

The good thing about being the Giants right now is that when you’ve hit rock bottom, the only way is up. So, why not start the climb with Winston showing Shedeur the road?
