How Realistic Is an Undefeated Season for the Kansas City Chiefs?

With Another Narrow Victory on MNF, the Chiefs Are the Only Remaining Undefeated Team

Unstoppable Dynasty

The Kansas City Chiefs have played eight NFL games this season and have yet to lose one. The team is 8-0 and have already beaten some of the best teams in the NFL.

The Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce dynamic clearly hasn’t been a distraction as the team can’t seem to lose. The Chiefs schedule isn’t that difficult the rest of the way so it’s starting to look like an undefeated season could be possible.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins are the only team to go undefeated in the regular season and move on to win the Super Bowl. The 2007 Patriots went undefeated in the regular season only to lose in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs going undefeated would be even more impressive than the other two considering they’ve won back-to-back Super Bowls and there are now 17 games in the regular season.

It would be one of the biggest NFL news stories ever if they were able to win the rest of their games while also winning the Super Bowl.

Chiefs Haven’t Been Playing That Well

The most perplexing thing about the Chiefs’ run this season is the fact that they haven’t played that well. Patrick Mahomes’ stats have been middle of the pack and he’s tied for third in the NFL with nine interceptions.

They’ve only had two wins this season that were by more than seven points. However, great teams just know how to win. It doesn’t really matter if they’re blowing teams out as long as they come out with the win.

The Chiefs appear to be unbeatable. Even if an opposing team plays a better game, they still figure out how to be on top in the end. That said, an undefeated season comes with a lot of pressure. The Patriots couldn’t handle that pressure and it remains to be seen if the Chiefs will be able to.
