Jameis Winston’s First Snow Game Is a Classic Upset Win Over Steelers-scka
Winston Shines in Snowy NFL Debut, Leads Browns to Upset Over Steelers
Snowy Game Day in Cleveland
No one does entertaining, defensive-minded NFL games like the AFC North, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns both delivered in a snowy spectacle Thursday night. NFL rumors suggest fans just love snow games, and we rarely see ones like this anymore.

But the star of the show was Jameis Winston, who was playing in his first ever snow game as he came through on a game-winning drive to beat the Steelers 24-19.
Jameis Winston Is Pure Unintentional Comedy
Even before the snow got ridiculously heavy in the second half, Winston’s eyes lit up before kickoff about the prospects of facing Pittsburgh in the snow:

But it was on a touchdown run where Winston’s helmet was heavily damaged in the fourth quarter. On the ensuing 2-point conversion pass, he was able to complete the throw despite the battery from the communication device in his helmet dangling right in his field of vision:
this is INSANE

I’ve never seen anything like that. Winston noted in his post-game presser that the whole moment felt like something for NFL Films with the snow and wires hanging in his face.

From the man who brought us “Eat a W” it was no surprise to see Winston close his night by eating some snow on the field, creating (face first) snow angels with the TNF crew.

George Pickens Is Always Worth a Laugh Too
As funny as Jameis is, Pittsburgh wideout George Pickens is quickly building a reputation for being absurdly humorous too. Who else would attack a defensive back for fun instead of chasing down the other defender on an interception? Who else would rather get the same foot down twice instead of trying both feet?
On Thursday night, Pickens didn’t have a great game with 31 of his 48 yards coming on one play early in the game. He was caught getting into a fight on the game-ending Hail Mary pass in the end zone and had to be held back by security with 0:00 on the clock.

After the game, Pickens was blunt about the conditions playing a huge part, and he said that the Cleveland Browns are not a good football team at all and the conditions saved them today.

I think the conditions saved them today”

They’ll remember that NFL news in Cleveland for the Week 14 rematch in Pittsburgh.
Steelers Played Their Worst Game of the Season
The Steelers (8-3) failed on a huge opportunity to increase their lead in the AFC North. A win would have clinched their 21st consecutive non-losing season, tying the Cowboys for the NFL record.
But this was one of the worst-coached games of Mike Tomlin’s long career, and it was evident early when he decided to try a 58-yard field goal in this weather instead of punting. Tomlin was also extremely irresponsible with his timeout usage in both halves, and the offense was very sloppy in how they used players like Justin Fields and Cordarrelle Patterson. Seriously, a fade on a 2-point conversion to your RB3?
The Browns started 0-for-9 on third down but were 4-for-4 on fourth down. Still, maybe Tomlin should have made them convert a fourth-and-2 instead of accepting a penalty that proved to be the critical conversion of the game.
Every Steelers fan in America knew they were going to lose tonight. Because they’ve watched Mike Tomlin do this for almost 20 years.

No one plays down to the competition like Pittsburgh.
