Josh Allen Delivers a Historic Performance on SNF Against the 49ers

Allen's Historic Snow Performance Boosts MVP Case in Buffalo Win

Pass, Rush, Catch, Allen Did It All Yesterday

On a snowed-to-the-brim Sunday night at Orchard Park, Josh Allen, superstar quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, decided to put on a performance that will surely live in the minds of football fans for a long, long time.

Going for 148 passing yards with two touchdowns on 13 completions in 17 attempts, Allen also got on the scoreboard with a seven-yard receiving TD on a pass play started initially by himself and capped it all off with an eight-yard rushing TD.

Yes, you read it right; Allen did it all last night. He didn’t intercept a pass or get a sack because he was probably busy shoveling snow from the sideline.

But who are we kidding here?

If Allen were given the shot to go out on defense, NFL news would probably be overflowing with stories of how he got a 99-yard pick-six, had three sacks, and probably even kicked a field goal just for the “lols.

Oh, and in case you were wondering which team was on the losing end of one of Allen’s best NFL games in history, it was none other than the San Francisco 49ers. The same 49ers that are current NFC champions. Brock Purdy, Deebo Samuel, Christian McCaffrey (praying for a sound recovery), Trent Williams, George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, Fred Warner, and Nick Bosa.

You know which team I’m talking about.

Allen for MVP! One Thing Every Football Fan Can Agree On

I get that backing Lamar Jackson to win it again this year makes sense. Or even that Saquon Barkley should get the award if he beats Eric Dickerson’s season-rushing yard record, but Allen’s -250 betting odds to win MVP in BetUS lines speak for themselves.

If Allen doesn’t win this year’s MVP award, it will have to be because somebody else did something out of this world. And when I say something out of this world, think about Michael Jordan going to Looney Tunes Universe and saving everybody from The Nerdlucks.

How Far Can Allen Take the Bills This Year?

One of the main prerogatives that have chased Allen throughout his tenure with the Bills has been his inability to come through for his team in “win and you’re in” playoff instances. Even after putting up amazing seasons stats-wise, once the team’s NFL schedule hits the postseason, Allen turns into a shell of the MVP-caliber player he proves to be throughout the season.

And it’s not like Bills fans or even Josh Allen’s girlfriend—now fiancée—Hailee Steinfeld, can debate me on this. It’s a known fact. Hell, it’s why Stefon Diggs fled Buffalo this offseason, which, in hindsight, could end up costing Diggs more than his former team in the long run.

Getting back to Allen, though, his performance last night was nothing short of amazing. It’s a performance up-and-coming passers should watch and learn from. But once the postseason comes along, Buffalo will need that kind of performance on repeat.

Allen and Buffalo’s main issue has a name. They’ve won the last two Super Bowls. They’re everybody’s favorite go-to team when checking out NFL picks and predictions. Yes, it’s Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

If Allen continues performing the way he has and can help the Bills route the Chiefs one more time, in what could be a potential AFC title game waiting, I’m calling it right now: Buffalo will win Super Bowl LIX. Mark my words.
