Kelce (and Taylor Swift) Put Spotlight on Super Bowl 59 Tight Ends Comparison
- Check out the BetUS Sportsbook for the best Super Bowl odds.
- Travis Kelce has still shown flashes in the NFL playoffs.
- Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert has played a key role on the Eagles offense.
Thanks to Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, the tight ends are not going to fly under the radar for Super Bowl LIX. As you make your Super Bowl predictions, don’t forget the two key tight ends in this matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles have their own playmaker in Dallas Goedert, who has done just fine in replacing Philly legend Zach Ertz. With the NFL line for this matchup so close, don’t be surprised if it is one of these tight ends who finds the end zone and helps decide the game.
Here’s what you need to know about all the tight ends in the 2025 Super Bowl.
Super Bowl Comparison: 3 Things to Know About Tight Ends Kelce, Goedert
1. Does Travis Kelce Have One More Epic Super Bowl Performance Left?
Kelce consistently having stellar games may be a thing of the past, but the star tight end is capable of having dominant games. There are no games remaining to conserve Kelce’s energy, so fans can expect Kansas City to heavily rely on the playmaker.
Travis Kelce holds ALL of these NFL Playoff records:
🏈 Receptions (174)
🏈 Games with 100+ Rec Yards (9)
🏈 Rec TDs by a Tight End (20)
🏈 Rec Yds by a Tight End (2,039)
🏈 Games with 1 or more Rec TDs (15) pic.twitter.com/4IHPPPbOcy— NFL on Prime Video (@NFLonPrime) January 29, 2025
Kelce is coming off a quiet two catches for 19 yards in the Chiefs’ win over the Bills in the AFC Championship game. A stroll down memory lane shows Kelce posted six receptions for 81 yards and a TD in the Chiefs’ 38-35 victory over the Eagles two years ago in Super Bowl 57, per NFL betting trends.
Kelce is two years older, the Eagles defense is more imposing and the teams are different than the last Super Bowl matchup. Yet, it is an interesting frame of reference.
Our BetUS Sportsbook has Kelce’s over-under for yards set at 63.5.
2. Don’t Let Taylor Swift-Kelce Mania Cause You to Ignore Dallas Goedert
The entire Kelce family plus T-Swift is going to dominate NFL news and headlines (maybe a few of ours as well) in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. Yet, Goedert is a crucial part of the Eagles offense.
Dallas Goedert in this playoffs so far:
🦅 16 Receptions
🦅 206 Yards
🦅 148 Yards After the Catch

Goedert has had at least four receptions in all three of the Philadelphia’s playoff games, per Chiefs vs Eagles stats. The veteran is coming off his best game since September, posting seven receptions for 85 yards in the Eagles’ 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game.
When you bet online, Goedert’s yardage prop is set at 53.5 for the Super Bowl. Goedert’s touchdown prop offers an interesting value at +290.
3. Chiefs TE Noah Gray Headlines the ‘Others’ for Super Bowl
Okay, so Kelce and Goedert are both expected to be factors in the Super Bowl. Are there any other tight ends who could be a factor with the Lombardi Trophy on the line?
To borrow a phrase from Shaquille O’Neal, let’s take a look at “the others” in the Super Bowl matchup. Chiefs tight end Noah Gray is the biggest name to keep an eye on.
“We’re just fortunate and blessed to have Travis Kelce leading us.”
Noah Gray tells @bjbowman13 that what separates the #Chiefs TE room from others around the league is a strong work ethic and a leader like Kelce.

There have been times when Gray has been a sneaky red zone target. Gray has five touchdowns this season.
The tight end posted three receptions for 13 yards in the team’s Divisional Round matchup versus the Texans. Gray is an enticing TD player prop pick at +450. For the Eagles, Grant Calcaterra is next in line behind Goedert but has not been a factor this season.
Calcaterra has just one reception during the NFL playoffs. The tight end has 24 receptions for 298 yards and a TD.
