New York Giants at Miami Dolphins: Betting Guide
Surging Fins Go For Fifth Consecutive Win
The New York Giants are 4-7, though not completely out of the wild card race after beating the Philadelphia Eagles. The Miami Dolphins began 1-7 but have since won four straight games to get back in the playoff hunt.
This doesn’t figure to be a marquee game, but it contains a lot more significance than anyone was prepared to expect a month ago.

Head-to-Head
The two teams last met in 2019. The Giants won, 36-20. Oddly, these teams have met a grand total of just nine times.
They did not play each other from 1973 through 1989, which seems hard to believe, but with five teams per division back then, some teams did not play each other for many years in the divisional rotations.
The Dolphins have beaten the Giants just once since 1972, in 2003. The Giants are 7-2 in this series.

Last Game
The Giants smothered Jalen Hurts and the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense in a 13-7 home win. The Giants’ offense looked typically bad.
After firing offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, no real improvements emerged on that side of the ball for Big Blue.
However, the defense played as well as it could, standing on its head the whole game and getting a last-minute stop when the Eagles were driving deep in New York territory.
The Giants’ defense has allowed an average of under nine points per game in its last three home games. This game is in Florida, however.
In terms of NFL predictions, the Giants are 6-5 against the spread and 3-7-1 in over-unders this season.
Injury Report
The Giants have a big injury question this week. Quarterback Daniel Jones is listed as doubtful for Sunday with a neck strain. If he can’t play, veteran backup Mike Glennon would get the start.
Receiver Kadarius Toney, injured for much of the season, remains questionable. Cornerback Adoree’ Jackson is questionable, but the Giants are optimistic that he will be able to play against the Dolphins.

Last Game
The Dolphins pushed their winning streak to four games with a solid 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.
The Dolphins knew Cam Newton well because they had to game-plan for him twice last season when Newton was a member of the rival New England Patriots in the AFC East.
Miami’s familiarity showed – coach Brian Flores was a long-time defensive coach for the Pats – bottled up Newton from start to finish.
Miami is gaining a full head of steam against the soft portion of the schedule.
The Dolphins are 6-5-1 against the NFL odds and 5-7 in over-unders.
Injury Report
The Dolphins have safety Brandon Jones (ankle, elbow) and cornerback Trill Williams (hamstring) questionable for this game against a possible backup quarterback, Mike Glennon, for the Giants.
Nothing really major for this team if you bet online.
New York Giants vs Miami Betting on the Game
The Daniel Jones injury actually makes the Giants more attractive in this game. Mike Glennon might improve their offense relative to Jones, who has been struggling.
Yet the Dolphins are riding a wave of confidence against weaker opponents. They just buried the Panthers on when Carolina had Christian McCaffrey in the lineup before he went down for the season.
If they can hammer the Panthers, they can handle Mike Glennon. The Giants cover, but Miami wins on the moneyline. Stay away from the total. This game will be very close to the number in the sportsbook one way or the other.
