The NFL Returns to London. Following a season in which the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancelation of the NFL’s international schedule, the league heads back overseas in Week 5 with the New York Jets facing the host Atlanta Falcons.
The Jets come in riding the highs off their first win of the year last week. The Falcons look to rebound after a brutal loss to the Washington Football Team. You can bet this game on the BetUS Sportsbook.

Next Game: at New England
It took overtime last week for the Jets to get the job done, but the Jets got a quality win over the Tennessee Titans. While the Titans were missing many key players, the Jets played spoiler in Week 4.
The Jets were underdogs by seven points last week against the Titans. With the over/under set at 44½, the Jets covered by winning outright, and the total over/under was covered as well. While the spread was only seven points, the Jets still had a very large uphill battle. This season, the Jets were not expected to be a good football team and will likely be underdogs in most games.
This week for the Jets, they have multiple players listed as questionable, but the key player is Adrian Colbert. Colbert has 16 tackles on the year in four games, including three last week.
Next Game: at Miami
A fourth-quarter comeback by the Washington Football Team stunned the Falcons last week, 34-30. The Falcons led 30-22 in the fourth, but it was not enough for Matt Ryan and company. Atlanta was the underdogs in last week’s game by 1 1/2 points. The over/under was set at 48 points, and that was easily covered, but the Falcons themselves could not cover. Looking at the NFL predictions from last week, the Falcons were not picked to win or cover.
Notable injuries this week for the Falcons include safety Erik Harris who was a non-participant in Wednesday’s practice, and Defensive tackle Marlon Davidson is listed as questionable as well for this weekend. Later news came out Atlanta will be without WRs Calvin Ridley (personal issue) and Russell Gage (injury).
Betting on the Game
The point spread gives you a good idea of how these teams will match up with each other. The closer the point spread, the closer the game BetUS expects. The same goes for the other way around. With the point spread this week being so close, it does not allow for a lot of room for error.
Let’s look at who will win this game. While the Falcons have struggled this year, their offense is astronomically ahead of the Jets. Last week was another good week for Matt Ryan and his new target Cordarrelle Patterson.
Zach Wilson has thrown out big red flags so far in his early career. Wilson has twice the number of interceptions as he does touchdowns. If you can’t keep the ball in your hands, it makes it hard to score.
At +145 for the Jets, the money line is very tight, the same as the point spread. Here, many bettors will be taking an outright winner and may not be looking at the moneyline.
With so much uncertainty from both teams, this is a game many bettors will stay away from when looking at bets on NFL games.
The over/under has been set at 46 points. With the Jets struggling offense, this posts an interesting bet. The Falcons have the ability to score points, and both defenses have not been able to stop much. The over at 46 seems very possible with both defenses struggling. The Jets give up 23.5 points per game on average, but not as bad as the Falcons 32 points per game given up. The over seems very possible here. Bet online at BetUS sportsbook for the over/under.
