- Get the best Super Bowl 59 odds at BetUS.
- The Detroit Lions continue to be the team to beat in the NFC.
- Philadelphia and Minnesota continue to put pressure on the streaking Lions.
The New York Giants became the first team from the NFC to be eliminated from playoff contention while the Philadelphia Eagles is the only NFC team with a division lead of more than one game heading into Week 14.
The week gets underway with an intriguing NFC North matchup when the Detroit Lions look to extend their winning streak to 11 games when the Green Bay Packers come to town on Thursday. The NFL betting odds list the Lions as 3.5-point favorites.
The Lions continue to lead the way in the NFC Power Rankings with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings only a game behind in the standings. The Giants and Carolina Panthers are guaranteed to finish with losing seasons.
Let’s take a look at the top contenders in the NFC as the Detroit Lions are listed at +300 followed by the Eagles at +450 in our odds to win Super Bowl 59.
Super Bowl LIX Rankings: Top 6 Contenders in NFC
1. Detroit Lions (+150 to Win the NFC)
Last Week Ranking: 1
After rolling to win after win with remarkable ease, the Lions were lucky to come out of Thanksgiving with their 11th victory of the season.
Rookie quarterback Caleb Williams had the Bears in position for the tying field goal with less than a minute to play. However, a penalty, sack and then one of the worst displays of clock management in recent memory did in the Bears. With a timeout left and more than 30 seconds left, the Bears only managed one desperate fling down the field as the Lions held on for a three-point win.
The combined record of the next two opponents for the Lions is 19-5 before a rematch with the Bears.
The Lions came into the season listed by BetUS Sportsbook as the No. 3 favorite at +500 to earn the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs and that is looking like a bet that could deliver.
Bet the Detroit Lions to Win Super Bowl 59 (+300)
2. Philadelphia Eagles (+250)
Last Week Ranking: 2
Since a surprising one-point loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles are 5-0 in games decided by eight points or less after topping the Baltimore Ravens 24-19 in Week 13 as Saquon Barkley had another 100-yard rushing game.

Before challenging matchups with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Washington Commanders, the Eagles welcome the three-win Carolina Panthers to town in Week 14. The NFL spread has the Eagles favored by 13 points. When looking at the NFL betting trends, keep in mind that the Eagles have failed to cover in each of their last four games when favored by at least 10 points at home.
Second-place Washington doesn’t play in Week 14 so a win by the Eagles would give Philadelphia a three-game lead in the NFC East with four games remaining.
Bet the Philadelphia Eagles to Win Super Bowl 59 (+250)
3. Minnesota Vikings (+850)
Last Week Ranking: 3
Has there ever been a 10-2 team talked about less than the Minnesota Vikings? If the Vikings played in the NFC South or the NFC West, they would be on the verge of clinching the division title. Instead, the Vikings are still looking up at the Detroit Lions in the NFC North standings.
Minnesota has won its last two games by a total of four points to extend its winning streak to five games. It is a good thing that they don’t ask how but they ask how many and the Vikings are still in contention to have the best record in the NFC.
When looking at the NFL injury updates, linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. landed on injured reserve due to a hamstring issue. Pace has already missed three games this season and will miss at least the next four contests as well.
Two of the next three games come against teams sitting atop NFC divisions beginning with the Vikings being favored by the NFL odds by 4.5 points against the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons.
Bet the Minnesota Vikings to Win Super Bowl 59 (+850)
4. Green Bay Packers (+650)
Last Week Ranking: 4
The Green Bay Packers aced another test as they led the visiting Miami Dolphins by 21 points at halftime en route to the 30-17 victory. Quarterback Jordan Love posted his highest passer rating of the 2024 season in the win while the defense recorded five sacks.

Things don’t get much easier. Green Bay can either pull within a game of first-place Detroit or fall three games back in the NFC North race after the Week 14 showdown.
Green Bay has split its first two games this season as the road underdog with both of those games landing over the total.
Josh Jacobs needs 13 rushing yards to top the 1000-yard mark in his first season with the Packers. He will be a popular NFL Week 14 player prop pick even if the Lions allow the second-fewest rushing yards per game among NFC teams.
Bet the Green Bay Packers to Win Super Bowl 59 (+650)
5. Washington Commanders (+2500)
Last Week Ranking: 5
Washington got back to its winning ways as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for three touchdowns and ran for another in a 42-19 win over the visiting Tennessee Titans. It matched the highest-scoring output of the season for the Commanders.
Before a huge Week 16 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Commanders have a Week 14 bye week and then a road game against the struggling New Orleans Saints.
The week off could be beneficial as running backs Brian Robinson and Austin Ekeler have combined to miss five games this season. Perhaps recent addition Marshon Lattimore, one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL, can get on the field for the first time since being traded. If that happens, it would come against his former team.
Bet the Washington Commanders to Win Super Bowl 59 (+2500)
6. Seattle Seahawks (+2500)
Last Week Ranking: 6
It hasn’t always looked pretty but the Seahawks have won three games in a row and lead the NFC West by one game after scoring the final 19 points to top the New York Jets 26-21. Seattle is now 4-1 outright in one-score games this season.
Second-year receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is closing in on a 1000-yard season and is one of the talented young players leading the way for Seattle.
After dropping their first two division games, the Seahawks have won their last two and can take a major step toward a division title with a win over Arizona on Sunday. The NFL betting line lists the Seahawks as a three-point underdog.
Bet the Seattle Seahawks to Win Super Bowl 59 (+2500)
