New Orleans finished the season winning three straight games, and they should have plenty of momentum in this one. Vikings Will Need to Run It Well

If the Minnesota Vikings are going to win this game then they are going to have to run the ball well. The Vikings are averaging over 133 rushing yards per game this season, but they will need running back Dalvin Cook to be healthy in this game. Quarterback Kirk Cousins threw for over 3,600 yards in 2019, but a running game is needed to slow down the Saints.

Minnesota also has a stout defense that won’t be afraid to blitz early and often in this game. The Vikings allowed just 18.9 points per game this season, and they have some terrific pass rushers on their defensive line. Danielle Hunter led the team with 14.5 sacks, but he has gotten plenty of help from his teammates.

Brees to Thomas is Unstoppable

The New Orleans Saints have a future Hall of Famer in quarterback Drew Brees, and one of the top receivers in football in Michael Thomas. That dynamic duo has combined for 149 receptions and 1,725 yards this season, and they will be hard for the Vikings to slow down. New Orleans is averaging 28.5 points per game this season, and they have known to be explosive in the Superdome.

Defense has been an issue at times for the Saints this season, and they have given up close to 22 points per game. The Saints have dealt with several injuries on the defensive side of the ball, but defensive end Cameron Jordan is having a monster season. Jordan leads the team with 15.5 sacks and should spend some time in the Vikings backfield in this game.

New Orleans Rolls to Playoff Win

The New Orleans Saints were one win away from the Super Bowl Odds a season ago, and they have been doing everything all season long to get there in 2020. The Saints went 13-3 during the regular season, and their offense can score on anyone. Minnesota can keep this game close if they run the ball well, but that’s easier said than done. The Vikings have not played well on the road this season, and they aren’t winning this game. Bet the New Orleans Saints -8.0 over the Minnesota Vikings in this NFC Wild Card Round Playoff game.
