- The San Francisco 49ers will be without key players on each side of the ball in a huge Week 12 matchup.
- Cowboys vs Commanders injuries could be a factor in the Week 12 matchup.
Most of the weekly NFL news revolves around players missing time. But there was some positive news when the New England Patriots got defensive tackle Christian Barmore on the field for the first time this season after he was sidelined due to issues with blood clots.
Some key Week 12 games will be impacted by injuries to key roles and that could return in the NFL odds moving before the opening kickoff. The most significant line moves took place when San Francisco went from being listed as a 1½-point underdog versus Green Bay to being a 5½-point underdog after it was reported that quarterback Brock Purdy would not be playing.
The New York Giants are six-point underdogs at home vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the line opened at +3½. That is the result of the demotion and eventual release of quarterback Daniel Jones.
When looking at the NFL injury report, offensive lineman Bernhard Raimann of the Indianapolis Colts, Terron Armstead of the Miami Dolphins, Blake Fisher of the Houston Texans and Zach Allen of the Denver Broncos are among the players listed as questionable in Week 12 games.
The Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints and New York Jets are all off this week.
Let’s look at three games that will be impacted the most by the absence of injured players, including a matchup between two of the top Super Bowl contenders, according to the NFL predictions.
Top 3 Games In Week 12 Impacted By Injuries
1. San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers
One of the biggest pieces of injury news this week is that the San Francisco 49ers will be without starting quarterback Brock Purdy for a huge game against the Green Bay Packers. Star pass rusher Nick Bosa has also been ruled out for the 49ers, as have defensive tackle Kevin Givens and defensive back Charvarius Ward.
Headlines on the biggest QB news:

Offensive linemen Trent Williams and Jon Feliciano are both listed as questionable. That could impact the NFL odds for a game between two teams expected to compete for a spot in the Super Bowl when the season began.
The Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper.
2. Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Commanders
It might save some time to list the Dallas Cowboys players who aren’t injured these days.
Dallas is already without quarterback Dak Prescott for the season, but there’s more.
Safety Markqueese Bell and tight end Jake Ferguson will miss the game with the Washington Commanders, while offensive lineman Zack Martin is doubtful. There is some good news as star receiver CeeDee Lamb is no longer listed on the injury report.
Mike McCarthy said CeeDee Lamb was able to take part in today’s work. If Lamb (foot, back) comes out of Saturday’s work Ok, “he’ll be ready to go.” Tyler Smith (ankle, knee) practiced “some,” Zack Martin (ankle, shoulder), did not practice.

Receiver Brandin Cooks, cornerback Trevon Diggs, defensive lineman Marshawn Kneeland and offensive lineman Tyler Smith are all listed as questionable on the NFL injury report.
Washington fans are still waiting for veteran cornerback Marshon Lattimore to make his debut after he was acquired from the New Orleans Saints, but it won’t happen this weekend. Linebacker Nick Bellore and defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste are questionable.
The BetUS Sportsbook odds list Washington as a 10½-point favorite against visiting Dallas.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs New York Giants
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are coming off a bye week, and the extra week has paid dividends as receiver Mike Evans is trending in the right direction. The Buccaneers lost all three games with Evans sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Defensive tackle Greg Gaines, cornerback Zyon McCollum and offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs are all questionable to play against the New York Giants.
The biggest news for the Giants has not been injury-related. The Giants released former starting quarterback Jones. He was demoted to fourth-string after the decision was made to bench the former first-round draft pick.
Edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux and linebacker Darius Muasau are questionable for the Giants.
Injuries are a part of the game, but make sure you have knowledge of who will be playing and who won’t before you do your online sports betting on the Week 12 games.
