The biggest Week 10 NFL news as far as injuries for Sunday’s games could be the expected return of reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey, as the San Francisco running back is set to make his season debut. While Dallas will be without quarterback Dak Prescott in its NFC East clash with Philadelphia, receiver CeeDee Lamb looks good to go.
When looking at the NFL injury report, not all the news is as promising. Indianapolis receiver Michael Pittman, Buffalo receiver Keon Coleman, Carolina offensive lineman Ikem Ekwonu, New Orleans receiver Chris Olave and New York Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley are among the players already ruled out.
Keep an eye on the availability of quarterbacks Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles and Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Miami receiver Tyreek Hill missed Friday’s practice with a wrist injury. With the Dolphins playing the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night, there is a little more time to get some clarity of Hill’s status.
The Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks are all off this week.
Let’s look at three games that could be impacted the most by the absence of injured players, beginning with a matchup between two of the top Super Bowl contenders, according to the NFL predictions.
Top 3 Games In NFL Week 10 Impacted By Injuries
1. Pittsburgh Steelers vs Washington Commanders
The Washington Commanders made a move to aid their defense with the acquisition of veteran cornerback Marshon Lattimore from the New Orleans Saints. However, a hamstring injury will delay Lattimore’s debut with the Commanders.
Commanders HC Dan Quinn announced CB Marshon Lattimore will not make his Washington debut Sunday due to his hamstring injury. Lattimore still needs more time to recover.

Running back Brian Robinson and offensive tackle Cornelius Lucas have also been ruled out for Washington. Offensive lineman Andrew Wylie has been limited in practice due to a shoulder injury and is questionable.
Pittsburgh will be without linebacker Nick Herbig for the fourth game in a row. Safety Terrell Edmunds is also out for the Steelers.
2. San Francisco 49ers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
While the news about 49ers vs Buccaneers injuries surrounding McCaffrey have dominated the headlines, there are other players to monitor for San Francisco.
Defensive end Nick Bosa (hip), offensive lineman Jon Feliciano (knee), safety Malik Mustapha (calf) and receiver Deebo Samuel (rib/oblique) are all questionable.
#49ers Nick Bosa suffered a hip pointer in practice on Wednesday, per Kyle Shanahan
Shanahan noted that he was concerned about Bosa’s status for Sunday “to a degree.”

Defensive linemen Kevin Givens and Yetur Gross-Matos as well as cornerback Charvarius Ward are all out for the 49ers.
The Buccaneers will play another game without top receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Rookie receiver Jalen McMillian, safeties Tykee Smith and Jordan Whitehead and defensive tackle Greg Gaines are all questionable.
Despite limited participation at late-week practices, Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield does not carry an injury designation.
McCaffrey’s saga has been something to behold. There were thoughts that he could play in the season opener and at other times, it was fair to wonder if he would suit up at all this season. McCaffrey didn’t go into specifics about his road to recovery from an Achilles injury but made it clear that he plans on playing on Sunday.
“The last eight weeks were extremely unfortunate for me,” McCaffrey said recently. “It’s very tough being injured. It’s tough physically, mentally, emotionally. Especially when it’s not how you planned it and it wasn’t expected and some stuff just went wrong, but I’m feeling great now and I’m ready to go.”

3. Detroit Lions vs Houston Texans
When the season began, two of the teams drawing interest from those who bet online were the Lions and the Texans. Time will tell if this is a preview of a Super Bowl showdown. Hopefully, if that happens, the teams are in a better place from an injury standpoint.
Detroit continues to play without star pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson. Offensive tackle Taylor Decker, defensive tackle Brodric Martin, safety Ifeatu Melifonwu, cornerback Emmanuel Moseley as well as linebackers Malcolm Rodriguez and Jalen Reeves-Maybin are all out for the Lions in the Sunday Night matchup.
Recently acquired defensive end Za’Darius Smith is questionable.
The Texans won’t have second-year edge rusher Will Anderson or reserve running back Dameon Pierce for the game. The Texans did open the window for top receiver Nico Collins to return from injured reserve. He is currently listed as questionable.
Fellow receiver Tank Dell is also questionable as are cornerback Jeff Okudah and defensive linemen Foley Fatukasi and Jerry Hughes.
Injuries are a part of the game, but make sure you have knowledge of who will be playing and who won’t before you do your online sports betting on the Week 9 games.
