There are some interesting tidbits on the latest NFL news leaks. Most notably, the Eagles and Packers will square off on Friday, September 6 in Sao Paulo.

This is a turn for several reasons including an international matchup in Week 1 as well as a Friday game following the Chiefs hosting the Ravens in the season opener. Week 1 is going to feature a long weekend of NFL football stretching from Thursday into Monday.

Get those fantasy lineups ready.

London Continues to Dominate the NFL International Schedule

The league continues to value its relationship with England as London will host three NFL games this year. It is always cool to see iconic soccer venues like Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium.

If there is one downside, it is that some of these NFL games could end up being less than entertaining. Yet, the NFL is always unpredictable, so we could see some of these teams exceed expectations.

The Jets take on the Vikings on October 6 at Tottenham, and both of these teams are in danger of missing the playoffs. Tottenham will also host the Jaguars and Bears the following week on October 13.

This one has a bit more appeal thanks to Caleb Williams and Trevor Lawrence. The Jags continue to make London their unofficial second home with an additional London game versus the Patriots on October 20.

Don’t Sleep on Germany

One country that has embraced the NFL is Germany. There is a rich history here dating back to the now-defunct NFL Europe league. NFL rumors continue to swirl about possible expansion to Europe, but there are no signs this is anywhere close to happening.

Germany has provided fans with some epic scenes in recent years. Munich hosts the Panthers and Giants on November 10. This is a less-than-ideal matchup, but we know the Germany fans will bring the enthusiasm.

Time to add “Country Roads” to the playlist.
