NFL Week 2 Power Rankings: Bills Rumbling, Cowboys Reeling
It was an eventful opening weekend. As usual, Week 1 was very telling. Several teams appear overrated, while others did not garner enough attention throughout the offseason. Strengths and weaknesses are coming into focus as the season kicks into gear.
Check out Week 2’s NFL Power Rankings.

As well explore a variety of other NFL odds here to win!
32. Atlanta Falcons
Once again, the Atlanta Falcons blew a fourth-quarter lead. Against the New Orleans Saints, the Falcons led 26-10 early in the fourth. The defense crumbled, allowing 17 points within 11:12. Following the 27-26 loss, Atlanta’s run defense looks like a major weakness. However, Marcus Mariota and the rushing attack put up good numbers and the defense produced four sacks. The Falcons have some positives to build on.
- +22500 Super Bowl odds
30. New York Jets
The New York Jets got off a poor start in Week 1. The offense only ran the ball 17 times, and second-year back Michael Carter got more touches than rookie Breece Hall. Joe Flacco rarely had a clean pocket as the offensive line struggled. The defense held the Baltimore Ravens to 274 yards, but gave up several explosive passing plays. If New York’s offensive line continues to underachieve, the Jets will be in store for another bad season.
- +25000 Super Bowl odds
31. Houston Texans
Quarterback Davis Mills came out hot, leading the Houston Texans to a 20-3 lead. Then, the Indianapolis Colts’ offense could not be stopped. The Texans’ defense surrendered 517 yards and 177 rushing yards. Plus, Houston’s run game averaged only 2.8 yards per carry. Mills had some good moments but was up and down. Overall, the Texans still have many weaknesses.
- +20000 Super Bowl odds
29. Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence showed no signs of a second-year leap against the Washington Commanders. His play was spotty once again. Christian Kirk looked worth the money as he posted 117 receiving yards. Running back Travis Etienne only got six touches, and James Robinson looked great off his Achilles injury. The defense gave up 390 yards in the 28-22 loss, but No. 1 overall draft pick Travon Walker shined.
- +15000 Super Bowl odds

28. Carolina Panthers
Baker Mayfield looked no different than last season. He struggled with an 84.6 passer rating against his former team, the Cleveland Browns. Plus, Christian McCaffrey got far less work than expected with 14 touches. The offensive line played poorly, allowing four sacks and six QB hits. The Carolina Panthers have major concerns on offense once again. In addition, the defense could not stop the run as the Browns finished with 217 rushing yards.

27. Seattle Seahawks
Maybe the Seattle Seahawks do not have a quarterback problem. Geno Smith did nearly everything right in his season-opening start, finishing with 195 passing yards and a 119.5 passer rating. In addition, the offensive line was a pleasant surprise. Rookie tackles Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas held up well for most of the game. The defense was the epitome of bend but don’t break. The Seahawks are soaring high after beating the Denver Broncos 17-16.
- +15000 Super Bowl odds
26. Chicago Bears
One of the week’s biggest upsets was the Chicago Bears taking down the San Francisco 49ers. Soldier Field looked like a monsoon, limiting both passing offenses. Eddie Jackson came up with an interception, and rookie Jaquan Brisker forced a fumble. Quarterback Justin Fields came up with big plays when needed. The Bears managed to win an ugly one, but the offensive line and receivers remain a big concern.
- +10000 Super Bowl odds
25. Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions opened with a 38-35 loss, but once again, they fought down to the last minute. The Philadelphia Eagles led 38-21 heading into the fourth quarter. Detroit mounted a comeback, cutting the lead to 38-35 with 3:51 remaining. Quarterback Jared Goff was mediocre while running back D’Andre Swift went berserk with 175 scrimmage yards. The Lions’ offense continues to grow, but the defense is a major problem.
- +15000 Super Bowl odds

24. New York Giants
Saquon Barkley is back. The superstar running back looked explosive as ever with 194 scrimmage yards, including a 68-yard run. If Barkley stays consistent, New York’s offense will be much improved. The Giants’ defense held when it mattered most, allowing no points in the fourth quarter. With a 21-20 win, New York showed grit in Brian Daboll’s debut.
- +12500 Super Bowl odds
23. Washington Commanders
The rebranded Washington Commanders start the year 1-0 following a 28-22 victory over Jacksonville. Carson Wentz’s debut was up and down, but he did have a few nice throws, including a 49-yard touchdown to Terry McLaurin. Rookie wideout Jahan Dotson made an instant impact with two touchdowns. Antonio Gibson played well, finishing with 130 scrimmage yards. The offense showed some hope, but the defense allowed 6.8 yards per rush and 383 total yards.
- +6600 Super Bowl odds
22. Tennessee Titans
Ryan Tannehill played well in the opener, but the Tennessee Titans averaged only 3.6 yards per carry. Robert Woods was virtually a non-factor, but the rest of the receiving unit produced. Defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons was a force, finishing with six tackles and two sacks. However, the run defense was horrible as the New York Giants recorded 238 rushing yards on 7.4 yards per carry. Randy Bullock missed a 47-yard field goal to win the game. Tennessee’s defense must improve going forward.
- +4000 Super Bowl odds
21. Dallas Cowboys
Only one week into the season, the Dallas Cowboys’ playoff hopes could be out of reach. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Cowboys’ offense was clunky with no rhythm. The offensive line was a problem, and the receivers created little separation. Ceedee Lamb had only two catches for 29 yards; that simply cannot happen. To make matters worse, Dak Prescott injured his hand and will be out for multiple weeks. For Dallas to stay competitive, the defense must play out its mind as the offense continues to sputter.
- +4000 Super Bowl odds

20. Cleveland Browns
Following a 26-24 win over the Carolina Panthers, it’s clear the Cleveland Browns will rely on the run and defense. After giving up a 20-7 lead, Cade York saved the day with a 58-yard field goal. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett played as expected with 4.3 yards per pass. The offensive line paved the way as Nick Chubb rushed for 141 yards and Kareem Hunt scored two touchdowns. The defense played well with Myles Garrett posting two sacks and three tackles for loss.
- +4000 Super Bowl odds
19. New England Patriots
Mac Jones’ 2022 season got off to a terrible start. He finished 21 of 30 for 213 yards. The offensive line was shaky. Jakobi Meyers was the only receiver with over 50 yards. Worst of all, the offense turned the ball over three times. The New England Patriots’ defense was mediocre, as the secondary allowed 242 passing yards. The Pats have many issues to address.
- +6000 Super Bowl odds
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
Most teams would be elated with a season-opening win over a divisional rival. However, the Pittsburgh Steelers still have many problems on offense. The defense forced five turnovers but the offense scored only 13 points in regulation. The offense averaged only 3.4 yards per carry and 5.1 yards per pass attempt. Play-calling was conservative and took few shots, just like last season. Thanks to miscues on the Cincinnati Bengals’ special teams, the Steelers won in overtime 23-20. T.J. Watt will miss a few weeks with a torn pec.
- +5000 Super Bowl odds
17. New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints’ offense came out cold but sealed the 27-26 victory with 17 points in the fourth quarter. Michael Thomas had two touchdowns in his return and Jarvis Landry recorded 114 receiving yards. The offensive line stumbled in pass sets, and the defensive line rarely generated pressure. The Saints’ defense must play better. Allowing 416 yards against the Atlanta Falcons is a call for concern.
- +3300 Super Bowl odds

16. Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals were on the losing end of a lopsided game (44-21) against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Cardinals’ defense was a disaster. Kansas City did anything it wanted from start to finish, totaling 488 yards. The pass rush struggled to generate pressure and Arizona blitzed far too much. On offense, Kyler Murray was underwhelming along with his targets. The Cardinals’ 4.7 yards per carry was the biggest positive.
- +4000 Super Bowl odd
15. Indianapolis Colts
Is Matt Ryan an upgrade over Carson Wentz? Ryan struggled at first but found his groove as the game progressed. The hype around Michael Pittman Jr. was certainly warranted as he recorded 121 receiving yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Taylor picked up where he left off, rushing for 161 yards. The defense was decent in Shaquille Leonard’s absence. The Indianapolis Colts’ offense, which totaled 517 yards, must finish more drives. This led to a 20-20 tie.
- +2500 Super Bowl odds
14. Miami Dolphins
Mike McDaniel’s debut is drawing praise across the league. Miami’s defense forced three turnovers, including a scoop and score from Melvin Ingram. McDaniel’s play-calling on offense was aggressive and it paid off. Tua Tagovailoa was solid with 270 passing yards. Tyreek Hill and Jayden Waddle were explosive, as expected. The Dolphins could not get the run game going, and the offensive line was inconsistent. Overall, Miami is off to a good start following its 20-7 win over the New England Patriots.
- +2500 Super Bowl odds
13. Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders stayed competitive against the Los Angeles Chargers, but they have a lot to figure out. Derek Carr played poorly as he threw three interceptions. Josh Jacobs looked good, but he only got 11 touches. Vegas experimented with its offensive line, which gave up six sacks. Davante Adams is still fantastic. Shocker. The Raiders’ pass rush was underwhelming, but the run defense held up. Carr and Las Vegas’ passing defense must improve.
- +4000 Super Bowl odds

12. Minnesota Vikings
Perhaps the biggest riser of the week was the Minnesota Vikings. We heard Justin Jefferson’s excitement about Kevin O’Connell’s offense. Jefferson was consistently moved around the field, giving him great matchups. The superstar wideout had 184 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Minnesota’s offense had a great balance against a good Green Bay Packers defense. In addition, the Vikings’ defense held up well against Aaron Rodgers. Minnesota’s 23-7 win over the Packers is certainly a head-turner.
- +2500 Super Bowl odds
11. San Francisco 49ers
Let’s not get too worried about the San Francisco 49ers’ flop against the Chicago Bears. The field was practically flooded. No one was going to have an effective passing game in that weather. Trey Lance’s inaccuracy is a concern but wait until Week 2 before panicking. San Fran’s run game was solid, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. The defense played well and generated plenty of pressure. Running back Elijah Mitchell’s two-month absence is a big problem.
- +2000 Super Bowl odds
10. Denver Broncos
Despite outgaining the Seattle Seahawks by nearly 200 yards, the Denver Broncos lost 17-16. Two fumbles on the goalline were crucial mistakes. Denver had a chance in the end, but Brandon McManus missed a potential game-winning 64-yard field goal. In his Broncos debut, Russell Wilson was efficient with 340 passing yards. Jerry Jeudy posted 102 receiving yards, including a 67-yard touchdown. Overall, Denver’s pass rush and ability to finish drives were disappointing.
- +1600 Super Bowl odds
9. Philadelphia Eagles
If the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense continues this level of play, they are going to contend in the playoffs. With 155 receiving yards, A.J. Brown was electric in his debut. Plus, Jalen Hurts’ accuracy was solid. Philly totaled 216 rushing yards on 5.5 yards per carry. The Eagles’ revamped secondary looked great. However, rushing defense is a concern after allowing 6.5 yards per carry. The Eagles’ success on offense was the story of their Week 1 win (38-35) over the Detroit Lions.
- +1400 Super Bowl odds

8. Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers’ opener was one massive headache. Allen Lazard’s absence magnified Green Bay’s weak receivers. The passing game found no rhythm, which was partially due to mistakes. One of which was Christian Watson’s drop that would have been a 75-yard touchdown. The Packers averaged 6.2 yards per carry, but were forced to pass when they trailed 20-0. The defense’s zone coverage was spotty paired with questionable play-calling. Green Bay bounced back from a bad Week 1 last season. Can they do it again?
- +1600 Super Bowl odds
7. Baltimore Ravens
Week 1’s 24-9 win over the New York Jets was deceiving. The Baltimore Ravens only posted 274 yards. Two areas made the difference: Turnovers and big plays. Baltimore forced two turnovers and hit two big pass plays in the third. The Ravens are still without J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, which certainly impacts the run game. If Lamar Jackson can consistently deliver explosives in the passing games, Baltimore is in a great spot to win the AFC North.
- +1600 Super Bowl odds
6. Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals outgained the Pittsburgh Steelers by almost 200 yards. Yet, they still lost. That’s what happens when you turn the ball over five times. The Bengals’ offensive line looked no better, allowing seven sacks. Also, Joe Burrow was far too aggressive, leading to four interceptions. Ja’Marr Chase’s 129 yards was one of few positives on offense. Cincy’s defense was good from start to finish. If the Steelers did not block an extra point with two seconds left, the Bengals would have won. Instead, Cincinnati fell in overtime 23-20.
- +2500 Super Bowl odds
5. Los Angeles Rams
Following a Week 1 loss, the defending Super Bowl champs have glaring weaknesses. With three interceptions, Matthew Stafford was nowhere close to his postseason form. The offensive line was a clear problem. Cooper Kupp’s 128 receiving yards was over half of the offense’s 243 yards. The defense played poorly, especially cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The Los Angeles Rams forced four turnovers and still lost by 21 (31-10) to Buffalo. That’s a problem.
- +1400 Super Bowl odds

4. Los Angeles Chargers
Outside of guarding Davante Adams, the Los Angeles Chargers had few problems in their 24-19 win. The offense was efficient, even with Keenan Allen exiting early. Justin Herbert looked great with 279 passing yards and three touchdowns. The offensive line continues to improve. After averaging 2.5 yards per carry, the run game will need to improve. Led by Khalil Mack’s three sacks, the pass rush wreaked havoc. With elite QB play and a dangerous pass rush, Los Angeles looks legit.
- +1200 Super Bowl odds
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ defense really that good? Time will tell. Tampa Bay defeated the Dallas Cowboys 19-3 on the back of its defense. Dallas scored three points on its opening drive and did close to nothing for the rest of the night. Tom Brady was solid with 212 passing yards. A dominant run game could be huge for the Bucs. Leonard Fournette rushed for 127 yards on six yards per carry. Injuries keep piling up. Chris Godwin hurt his hamstring in his return from an ACL tear and left tackle Donovan Smith went out with an elbow injury.
- +750 Super Bowl odds
2. Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense had no fall off without Tyreek Hill. Patrick Mahomes was operating at an MVP level as the passing offense hit several explosives. JuJu Smith-Schuster played well in his debut with 79 receiving yards. As usual, Travis Kelce was a monster, finishing with 121 receiving yards and a touchdown. Plus, the run game averaged 4.7 yards per carry. The defense generated consistent pressure and held Arizona to 282 yards. Kansas City is already in midseason form.
- +750 Super Bowl odds
1. Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills are as advertised. Despite four turnovers, the Bills handily defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-10. Buffalo’s defense, especially the defensive line, dominated the game. They finished with seven sacks and 15 QB hits. The unit will improve as rookie cornerbacks Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford settle in, plus, All-Pro Tre’Davious White could be back in Week 5. Besides two interceptions, Josh Allen looked fantastic. The offense was humming in every aspect, even the run game averaged 4.8 yards per carry. The Bills are clearly the NFL’s best early on.
