NFL Week 7: Top 3 Games Affected by Key Injuries on October 19
- Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts is among the injured stars who won’t play in Week 7.
- Cleveland running back Nick Chubb and New York Giants receiver Malik Nabers are trending in the right direction heading into Sunday’s games.
- Check out the NFL odds before making your wagers, as injuries could impact the spread for multiple games this week.
Detroit edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson and Houston receiver Nico Collins should have been Week 7 headliners in two of the more intriguing matchups this weekend. Instead, they are among the prominent players who will be unable to play on Sunday.
NFL lines are being impacted by injuries to key players around the league, with the biggest movement coming in the Raiders-Rams game, as the Rams are now favored by seven points after the line opened at 5½.
Cleveland running back Nick Chubb is set to make his season debut. However, some players are headed in the other direction when looking at the NFL injury updates. Philadelphia tight end Dallas Goedert has already been ruled out, while Eagles offensive lineman Jordan Mailata landed on injured reserve.
Keep an eye out for the updates on a few key running backs: Jacksonville’s Travis Etienne, Minnesota’s Aaron Jones and New England’s Rhamondre Stevenson. While rookie receiver Malik Nabers could be back for the New York Giants, will durable veteran pass catcher Mike Evans be sidelined when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet up with Baltimore on Monday night?
Let’s look at three games that could be impacted the most by the absence of injured players, beginning with a matchup between two of the top NFL expert picks for the Super Bowl, Houston and Green Bay.
Top 3 Games In Week 7 Impacted By Injuries
1. Houston Texans vs Green Bay Packers
The Houston Texans will be missing some key defensive players in one of the more intriguing Week 7 games.
Linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair (knee), rookie cornerback Kamari Lassiter (shoulder), safety Jimmie Ward (groin) and linebacker Henry To’oTo’o (concussion) have been ruled out of the showdown with the Green Bay Packers. Defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi (shoulder) is questionable, while wide receiver Robert Woods has also been ruled out.

The good news is that running back Joe Mixon and offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil look good to go.
Green Bay defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt is out while receiver Dontavyion Wicks is questionable after practicing on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday.
The BetUS Sportsbook odds have the Packers as a three-point favorite against the Texans.
2. Miami Dolphins vs Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts got some good news this week, as second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson was able to practice without limitation and should be back for the game against Miami. However, leading rusher Jonathan Taylor has been ruled out. Despite the absence of one of the top running backs in the NFL, the NFL odds favor the host Colts on Sunday.
Top pass catchers Josh Downs and Alec Pierce are questionable. Pierce was able to practice late in the week, while Downs has been a limited participant. Offensive lineman Braden Smith is questionable, but his status is a bit murky, as he has not been able to take part in drills this week.
It is not looking good for safety Jevon Holland to be active for the Miami Dolphins. Also, keep an eye on the availability of receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Offensive lineman Terron Armstead could return for the Dolphins.

3. Las Vegas Raiders vs Los Angeles Rams
The Las Vegas Raiders made NFL news by dealing away disgruntled receiver Davante Adams this week. Of course, the tender hamstring that had sidelined Adams improved dramatically once he arrived in New Jersey to be reunited with quarterback Aaron Rodgers with the New York Jets.
Fans had several questions after a busy week for the Raiders, including who the team could look to trade next after moving Davante Adams to the Jets. https://t.co/KcozxWVGiD

The Raiders have declared that linebacker Tommy Eichenberg and offensive lineman Dylan Parham are out against the Rams. Receiver Jakobi Meyers is still dealing with an ankle injury, and he has been unable to practice.
Running back Zamir White has missed the last two games with a groin injury. Despite being a full participant in Friday’s practice, he is listed as questionable.
The last thing the Los Angeles Rams need are more injuries at the wide receiver position as Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua have combined to miss seven games. However, rookie Jordan Whittington is questionable after being limited at practice.
Whittington leads the Rams with 18 catches. Kupp has a questionable tag for the game as does offensive lineman Joe Noteboom. Keep that in mind when looking at the NFL Week 7 player prop options.
Injuries are a part of the game, but make sure you have knowledge of who will be playing and who won’t before you do your online sports betting on the Week 7 games.
