Top 5 Twin Terrors

5.Brandon Aiyuk & Deebo Samuel, San Francisco 49ers

NFL rumors had been swirling as to which team would win the Brandon Aiyuk sweepstakes, but now it appears the 49ers pass-catching savant will remain in San Francisco. That’s a good sign for Brock Purdy and the Niners, as Aiyuk was the team’s leading receiver last season, catching 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. But strangely enough, Aiyuk is technically the team’s No. 2 receiver behind field stretcher Deebo Samuel, which makes this duo one of the league’s best.

4. Cooper Kupp & Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua was the steal of the 2023 NFL Draft. The BYU product was chosen in the fifth round, paid dividends immediately, and ended as one of the most dynamic wideouts in the game with 105 receptions, 1,486 receiving yards, and six touchdowns. Couple him with veteran Cooper Kupp, and assuming the former does not fall into a sophomore slump and the latter stays healthy, then they will be among the league’s leaders again.

3. Ja’Marr Chase & Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals

As long as Joe Burrow can stay healthy, the dynamic duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins will thrive. Despite Burrow being hobbled by injuries last season, Chase still tallied 100 receptions, 1,216 yards, and seven touchdowns. Higgins served as a stellar No. 2 target with 42 receptions, 656 yards, and five touchdowns while boasting a team-leading 15.6 average yards per reception.

2. Justin Jefferson & Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings

More than a few fans scratched their heads when the Vikings tapped Jordan Addison as their first-round selection in 2023. But no one is questioning that prescient pick now after the USC star made NFL news by racking up 70 catches, 911 yards, and a stunning 10 touchdowns in his rookie season. But here’s the thing: Addison is only the second-best receiver on this team behind the man who many consider to be the finest pure receiver in the game, Justin Jefferson.

1. Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins

This talented tandem is at the top of many lists because that is where they belong. It is hard to make a case for any other receiving duo to be ranked above them, as Tyreek Hill is one of the top three receivers in the game while Jaylen Waddle is a No. 1 on the vast majority of teams in the league. Hill was at or near the top in all the major statistical categories with 119 receptions, a league-best 1,799 yards, and 13 touchdowns (tied for first with Mike Evans).
