Super Bowl 59 Odds: Avoid NFC South

Every NFL season there is usually a division that is considered the best, and another the worst. If the Super Bowl 59 belling lines at BetUS Sportsbook are any indication, the NFC South ran away with the title for worst division in football.

With the Falcons +4000 as the most likely team to win Super Bowl 59, you can imagine how poor the rest of this division is.

1. Atlanta Falcons

I can’t wrap my head around the Falcons Super Bowl odds at +4000 after going 7-10 in 2023. Those are the same odds as the Cleveland Browns who had a strong season and feature perhaps the best defense in the NFL.

The Falcons have a new coach, a new OC, and a lot of uncertainty surrounding who will start at QB next year. Taylor Heinicke and Desmond Ridder are the obvious choices, but neither impressed much in 2023. A trade could be in the works, but for now, the Falcons are a long way away from a deep playoff run.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers were a major success in 2023 after going 9-8 and beating the snot out of the Eagles 32-9 in the Wild Card round. They came up short 31-23 against the Lions, but it was a close game and we almost saw Tampa Bay in the NFC Championship.

Now for the bad news. The Bucs lost their OC Dave Canales, and WR Mike Evans and QB Baker Mayfield are headed toward becoming unrestricted free agents.

The Bucs have work to do this offseason, but if they can resign their offensive talent, Tampa Bay could be a steal at +6000.

3. New Orleans Saints

The Saints have a lot of work to do this offseason if they hope to compete in 2024. Even in a weak division, they aren’t guaranteed to finish outside of last place.

The biggest hurdle the Saints face in their rebuild is that they are already $83.9 million over the salary cap, which is the worst in the NFL.

The Saints have not won more than nine games or made the playoffs in the last three years and I don’t expect that to change in 2024.

4. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers will likely be the worst team in the NFC South again this year. Considering the AFC South is the worst division in the league, that makes the Panthers a good bet online to win the fewest games in 2024.

No, seriously. While there aren’t NFL odds for that prop yet, there will be, and the Panthers are infinitesimally more likely to win the fewest games and cash a modest wager than they are to go from worst to first and win Super Bowl 59 with the longest odds.

Questions Of The Day

Which team is the favorite to win Super Bowl 59?

The San Francisco 49ers are favored to win the Super Bowl despite head coach Kyle Shanahan’s 0-3 record in the big game.

Is any NFC South team a good bet to win Super Bowl 59?

No, and don’t let anyone tell you differently. The Falcons, who have the best Vegas NFL betting odds of the bunch to win it all, aren’t a very good team and the odds only get worse from there.
