In a week when 12 of the 16 games were decided by eight points or less, the Buffalo Bills took care of things early against the injury-plagued San Francisco 49ers. The Bills continue to lead the way in the AFC Power Rankings.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs found a way to win again as the Bills and the Chiefs became the first two teams to clinch playoff spots.

Just a few weeks after the Cleveland Browns stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers, the teams will meet again with the BetUS sportsbook listing the host Steelers as the 6.5-point favorite. The best Week 14 game in the AFC could come in Kansas City when the Chiefs are favored against the Los Angeles Chargers in a key AFC West matchup.

Buffalo and Kansas City are tied at +500 for the shortest odds to win Super Bowl 59 among AFC teams. Baltimore (+1100) is the next closest challenger.

AFC Super Bowl Rankings: Top 6 Contenders to Bet On

1. Buffalo Bills (+200 to win the AFC)

Last Week Ranking: 1

The Bills became the first team to clinch a division title during the 2024 season as the 35-10 win over the 49ers was the seventh win in a row for Buffalo. With the other three AFC East teams stumbling in Week 13, the Bills can turn their attention from the AFC East race to trying to secure home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

Per NFL betting trends, Buffalo’s +131 point differential is the best among the AFC teams and a head-to-head win against the Chiefs keeps the Bills in the top spot.

Josh Allen became just the fifth player since 1970 and the first quarterback with a touchdown pass, run and reception in the same game against the 49ers as he continues to be among the front-runners in the NFL MVP odds.

Next up is a trip to Los Angeles to face the 6-6 Rams before a Week 15 matchup with the Detroit Lions, the current favorite to win the Super Bowl.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (+225 to win the AFC)

Last Week Ranking: 2

The Chiefs haven’t won a game by more than 13 points this season but it is hard to complain about an 11-1 record heading into the Sunday Night Football showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Chiefs have won seven of their last 10 home games against the Chargers. However, Kansas City is just 4-6 against the NFL spread in those games. The Chiefs held the Chargers to 224 yards of offense in a 17-10 win earlier this season. Look for more points in the rematch as the Chiefs look to sweep the season series from the Chargers for the third year in a row.

It was a quiet return to the field for Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco, who ran for 44 yards on seven carries in his first game since Sept. 15. He could see a larger role in Week 14 and could be an option in the Chargers vs Chiefs player prop bets.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (+950)

Last Week Ranking: 4

After eight of the first 11 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers featured less than 50 combined points scored, the Steelers were involved in a wild 44-38 game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Russell Wilson threw for 414 yards and three touchdowns while Najee Harris had 129 yards from scrimmage in the hard-earned win.

T.J. Watt had his second two-sack game of the season to give him 9.5 this season. Watt and the Steelers want to play better on defense moving forward, however.

After being favored by the NFL spread to top the Browns on Sunday, the next three games are against the 10-2 Philadelphia Eagles, 8-5 Baltimore Ravens and and 11-1 Kansas City Chiefs.

Pittsburgh is second only to the Denver Broncos among AFC teams with an 8-3 mark against the NFL betting odds.

Bet on the Steelers to win Super Bowl LIX (+2200)

4. Baltimore Ravens (+425)

Last Week Ranking: 3

What is going on with star kicker Justin Tucker? Tucker converted more than 85% of his field goals in 11 of his first 12 NFL seasons. However, he missed two more fields and an extra point in a Week 13 loss to Philadelphia. Tucker has missed a career-high eight field goals and it has proved costly in multiple matchups.

Baltimore had a subpar showing in the loss to the Eagles . The good news for the Ravens is a bye week followed by a date with a 2-10 New York Giants team before a Week 16 showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that might determine the AFC North champion.

Keep an eye on the NFL injury report to get updates on receiver Rashod Bateman. Linebacker and leading tackler Roquan Smith had 11 tackles as he returned after missing just one game.

The Ravens are now 5-5 in one-score games this season, with the five losses by a total of 22 points.

Bet on the Ravens to win Super Bowl LIX (+1100)

5. Los Angeles Chargers (+1400)

Last Week Ranking: 5

The Chargers somehow found a way to top the Atlanta Falcons despite managing just 187 yards in total offense. Four interceptions certainly helped but the Chargers will need a better showing on offense when meeting up with division rival Kansas City.

When making NFL picks, keep in mind that the last three times that the Chargers played the Chiefs on the road, the game landed under the total. A low-scoring game would be just fine with visiting Los Angeles.

The Chargers are already without leading rusher JK Dobbins and now rookie receiver Ladd McConkey is dealing with a knee injury.

The Chargers still lead the NFL in scoring defense and that will be tested by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs this weekend in a matchup that will have the attention of those who bet online.

Bet on the Chargers to win Super Bowl LIX (+3500)

6. Houston Texans (+1400)

Last Week Ranking: 6

The good news is that Houston bounced back from a loss to the Tennessee Titans by edging the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game was marred by an ugly hit by Azeez Al-Shaair that knocked Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence out of the game.

Per NFL news on Tuesday, Al-Shaair received a three-game suspension for the hit that the linebacker reportedly plans to appeal.

Houston is closing in on back-to-back playoff appearances for just the fourth time in franchise history. It won’t be easy. Next up is a matchup with a desperate Miami Dolphins squad followed by games against the Chiefs and the Ravens.

Bet on the Texans to win Super Bowl LIX (+3500)
