The AFC division race that should attract the most interest from NFL betting fans is the AFC South with the Pittsburgh Steelers just ½ a game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens. The Los Angeles Chargers and Baltimore Ravens, who just met on Monday Night Football, are the only AFC teams currently holding down playoff spots to meet up with winning teams in Week 13.
The Kansas City Chiefs are double-digit favorites on Friday against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders while the other Week 13 matchups involving AFC teams all have NFL betting lines at 7 or lower.
Kansas City still leads the way among AFC teams at +450 in the odds to win Super Bowl 59. Buffalo (+700) and Baltimore (+700) are other top AFC contenders.

AFC Super Bowl Rankings: Top 6 Contenders to Bet On
1. Buffalo Bills (+300 to win the AFC)
Last Week Ranking: 1
The Bills had a bye week after their win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Now Buffalo gets the team that the Chiefs topped in the most recent Super Bowl.
San Francisco was no match for Green Bay last week without starting quarterback Brock Purdy and top pass rusher Nick Bosa. The Bills have won six games in a row after falling to the Houston Texans. The Bills have scored 34, 31, 30, 30, and 30 points in the last five games.
Quarterback Josh Allen continues to lead the way in the NFL Most Valuable Player odds. He is one of the reasons why the Bills are 5-0 at home. Keep an eye on the NFL injury report with big-play rookie receiver Keon Coleman.
It’s been a great start, but there is still work to do.

Second-year linebacker Dorian Williams needs just three tackles for 100 as he leads a defense that is 15th in yards allowed but seventh in scoring defense.
2. Kansas City Chiefs (+210 to win the AFC)
Last Week Ranking: 1
The Chiefs found a way to win again with Spencer Shrader’s field goal on the last play of the game for the 30-27 win over a three-win Carolina team. Patrick Mahomes had 18 touchdown passes but 11 interceptions. Just two of those TDs have gone to Travis Kelce.
Running back Isiah Pacheco is close to returning and that could give the Chiefs another option on offense.

Next up is a matchup with a Las Vegas Raiders team on a seven-game losing streak so perhaps the Chiefs can come away with their third multi-score win of the season. The Chiefs are just 5-6 against the NFL spread this season including a 4-5 mark as the betting favorite.
3. Baltimore Ravens (+450)
Last Week Ranking: 4
It was a nice bounce-back win as Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh improves to 3-0 in matchups with his younger brother Jim as John’s Ravens topped Jim’s Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.
After being held under 100 yards in back-to-back games, Derrick Henry proved to be a great NFL player prop bet after running for 140 yards while Lamar Jackson threw for two scores and ran for another in a 30-23 victory. John Harbaugh’s decision to go for it on 4th-and-1 as the Baltimore 16 late in the first half was a key moment as the Ravens converted and eventually scored a touchdown to take the lead for good.
The Ravens are now 5-4 in one-score games this season and have another challenging game on Sunday as the only 1000-yard rushers in the NFL share the spotlight when Saquon Barkley leads the Philadelphia Eagles against Henry and the Ravens.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers (+1200)
Last Week Ranking: 3
Things don’t get much easier with the next two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles. After getting to meet up with the New York Giants, there is another showdown with the Steelers.
The Steelers had everything going their way after beating rival Baltimore but squandered things with a loss to the lowly Cleveland Browns in snowy conditions in Cleveland.
The running game wasn’t much of a factor with the longest run coming from backup quarterback Justin Fields. Calvin Austin had Pittsburgh’s longest offensive play with a 46-yard touchdown. Before the rematch with Cleveland, there is a Week 13 showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals as the Steelers look to remain atop the AFC North.
Pittsburgh is second only to the Denver Broncos among AFC teams with an 8-3 mark against the NFL betting odds.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (+1400)
Last Week Ranking: 5
The Chargers came up short on Monday Night Football and now three of the next four games come against teams with winning records. The Chargers are three games behind Kansas City in the standings and are +1600 in the odds of winning the AFC West title.
Seeing leading rusher J.K. Dobbins leaving Monday’s game is not ideal as the Chargers look to make a playoff push.
The Chargers still lead the NFL in scoring defense after allowing 30 points in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens but are still one of seven AFC teams with a winning record.
6. Houston Texans (+1400)
Last Week Ranking: 6
Houston failed to score an offensive touchdown in the second half to suffer a five-point loss to Tennessee as an 8.5-point favorite at home.
The Texans were a darkhorse team to make it to the Super Bowl after a strong 2023 season but it has been more of a grind this season. The loss of receiver Stefon Diggs is a big blow but the Texans still have a two-game lead in the AFC South with -1600 odds to win the division titles in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2019.
Before a matchup with Kansas City, there are games against the 2-9 Jacksonville Jaguars and the 5-6 Miami Dolphins as there is still work to be done for Houston to return to the playoffs.
