The Bills and Chiefs continue to set the pace in the AFC Power Rankings while the Ravens overtook the Steelers for the No. 3 spot after winning the Week 16 matchup between the division rivals. Miami, Cincinnati and Indianapolis could be eliminated from playoff contention this week.

Things get started on Wednesday with the Chiefs favored on the road against Pittsburgh and Baltimore a road favorite against the Houston Texans.

The BetUS sportsbook lists the Titans vs Jaguars matchup as the most competitive among those involving AFC teams in Week 17.

Buffalo and Kansas City are both at +450 in the odds to win Super Bowl 59 among AFC teams followed by Baltimore at +650.

AFC Super Bowl Rankings: Top 6 Contenders to Bet On

1. Buffalo Bills (+200 to win the AFC)

Last Week Ranking: 1

It wasn’t pretty but the Buffalo Bills rallied for a 24-21 win over the visiting New England Patriots after New England jumped out to an early 14-0 lead. A fumble recovery in the end zone by Taron Johnson early in the fourth quarter provided the winning margin for the Bills.

James Cook got the Bills going with a touchdown run and a TD reception as the Bills overcame a shaky outing by quarterback and MVP front-runner Josh Allen.

Keep an eye on the NFL injury report as Allen appeared to injure his throwing hand in the win over the Patriots.

Buffalo is still two games behind Kansas City in the race for the top seed in the AFC playoffs. Since the Bills beat the Chiefs in the head-to-head matchup, we’re sticking with Buffalo as the No. 1 team in our weekly AFC power rankings. Buffalo ends the regular season against the 4-11 New York Jets and the 3-12 New England Patriots.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (+200 to win the AFC)

Last Week Ranking: 2

So much for Patrick Mahomes missing the Week 16 game against Houston. Mahomes played through a sprained ankle and had the longest touchdown run of his NFL career in a 27-19 win over the AFC South Division champion Houston Texans.

Kansas City can wrap up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs and a first-round bye with a win over Pittsburgh on Wednesday or a Week 17 loss by the Buffalo Bills.

Kansas City is now 11-0 in one-score games this season after the 27-19 win over Houston. The Chiefs got back Hollywood Brown, who had five catches in his first game in more than a year.

Per Texans vs Chiefs betting tips, Kansas City joins Buffalo as the only team this season with an undefeated record at home.

Kansas City has failed to cover against the spread in seven of its last nine games but still heads into Week 17 with the best record in the NFL.

Bet on the Chiefs to win Super Bowl LIX (+450)

3. Baltimore Ravens (+325)

Last Week Ranking: 4

Despite throwing three touchdown passes, it was another quiet performance for Lamar Jackson against the Steelers with 207 passing yards and 22 yards on nine carries.

Derrick Henry had no such issues. He ran for 162 yards in the 34-17 win as Baltimore moved into a tie for first place in the AFC North Division.

Baltimore is right back at it with a road game against the 9-6 Houston Texans on Wednesday, with the Ravens favored on the road. Those taking part in the NFL player props are hoping for another big game by Henry on Christmas Day.

Bet on the Ravens to win Super Bowl LIX (+650)

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (+1500)

Last Week Ranking: 3

Pittsburgh squandered a chance to wrap up the AFC North Division title as quarterback Russell Wilson had an interception returned for a touchdown and also lost a fumble in a 34-17 loss to division rival Baltimore.

The Steelers played another game without receiver George Pickens while running back Jaylen Warren led Pittsburgh with five catches. Monitor the NFL news to see if Pickens can return to the field as the Steelers have scored 30 points in their last two games.

Pittsburgh trails only the Denver Broncos with a 10-5 mark against the NFL spread among AFC teams.

Bet on the Steelers to win Super Bowl LIX (+4000)

5. Houston Texans (+1500)

Last Week Ranking: 6

Houston joins the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos among AFC teams at 9-6. Houston’s 7-3 record against AFC and the fact that the Texans are a division champion gives the Texans the edge for our No. 5 spot.

Two Houston turnovers were turned into 10 points in the Week 16 loss to the Chiefs. Houston still has a chance to beat out either Pittsburgh or Baltimore for the No. 3 seed in the upcoming AFC playoffs. For those betting online, it won’t be a surprise to see the Texans holding out players in the next two games since a playoff spot is already secured.

Bet on the Texans to win Super Bowl LIX (+4000)

6. Los Angeles Chargers (+1800)

Last Week Ranking: 7

The Chargers bounced back from a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by winning an entertaining game against the Denver Broncos. The highlight was Cameron Dicker connecting on a 57-yard field goal on a free kick at the end of the first half.

It was the first successful free kick off a fair catch in 48 seasons. Justin Herbert threw a pair of touchdown passes in the second half in a 34-27 victory that kept Denver from clinching a playoff spot and gave the Chargers a sweep of the regular-season series. That could be huge when it comes to AFC playoff seeding.

The Chargers finish the regular season by playing the three-win New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders.

When making NFL picks, keep in mind that the Chargers have covered in eight of their 10 games as a favorite this season.
