The Super Bowl 59 odds continue to move as we get closer to seeing the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles square off in New Orleans. Philly is now just a 1-point underdog versus Kansas City after betting opened with the Chiefs as a 1.5-point favorite.

There appears to be some confident bettors on the Eagles, or at least those with money looking to manipulate the spread. Before making your Super Bowl picks, here’s what you need to know about the Eagles-Chiefs odds.

1. The Chiefs Opened as a 1.5-Point Favorite

Dropping 55 points in the NFC Championship Game will earn your team some respect, even if you have to face Patrick Mahomes and the two-time defending champions. The Chiefs opened as a 1.5-point favorite versus the Eagles once the Super Bowl matchup was set.

This was the same number as the early lookahead NFL betting lines when oddsmakers projected the spread for the four potential Super Bowl matchup heading into the conference championship games.

There was some early movement on the Chiefs, who quickly became a 2-point favorite when you bet online. This number moved back to the Chiefs as a 1.5-point favorite, and now we see the odds shifting toward the Eagles.

2. Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Draws Early Super Bowl MVP Bets

Mahomes is the betting favorite to win Super Bowl MVP at +115, but there is money coming in on his teammate. The BetUS Sportsbook has Travis Kelce at +1600 to win the Super Bowl MVP, a dream scenario for FOX Sports execs rooting for as much Taylor Swift content as possible.

According to NFL media reports, a $25,000 bet came in last Thursday on Kelce to win the Super Bowl MVP. It is Eagles running back Saquon Barkley that has attracted the most total money, according to NFL news.

Barkley is second in the Super Bowl MVP odds at +225, ahead of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts +350. Barkley has three 100-yard games and five touchdowns in this postseason, per Chiefs vs Eagles stats.
