NFL Week 1 Goes Over? Dolphins, Bills, Rams Lead the Charge!

Week 1 of the NFL could start with a bang, and we look at the games likely to go over the total.

Many believe opening-round games will go under because of rustiness, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The teams are primed and ready to go, and NFL lines have value totals available.

Here’s a look at some NFL Odds to consider!

Dolphins Offense Too Hot? Take the Over vs Jags

The Miami Dolphins were the second-highest-scoring team last season, and we can’t see their offense slowing down.

They averaged 29.2 points per game, and with the total set at 49 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, we expect the over to cash.

Tua Tagovailoa is one of the more explosive quarterbacks in the league. He helped the Dolphins land 30 passing touchdowns, and they also had 17 running touchdowns.

It’s an excellently balanced offense, and although the Jaguars’ defense is solid, we expect a high-scoring contest in Week 1.

The Jaguars averaged 22.2 PPG, so they’re not bad. Trevor Lawrence is improving with every year under his belt, and he knows he’ll need to keep up with a fast-scoring Miami outfit.

For those reasons, we see the over 49 points cashing. It’s a good spot for total bettors to cash in the early games of the week.

Josh Allen’s Big Day? Bills, Cards Push Week 1 Over

The Bills will love playing their opening game at home.

They have been on the cusp of a winning season for a few years, and quarterback Josh Allen could go to another level.

They need him to fire on all cylinders, and we need him to play well for the over to cash against the Cardinals.

The current line is 48½, and although the Cardinals offense is suspect at times, 2024 could see that change for the good.

We expect the Bills to score close to 30 points at Highmark Stadium, and if it’s fine weather, the line could move to around 50 points.

All we need is the Cardinals to keep up, and with the points spread line at Bills -7, they are expected to go close.

It should be a high-scoring game, and we’re locking in the over.

Commanders-Bucs: Low Line Hiding Week 1 Shootout?

The Commanders and Buccaneers aren’t teams you would usually associate with high-scoring games, but they could surprise bettors in Week 1.

Both teams are waiting to have a breakout performance in the NFL, and they need to fire on offense to get spirits high.

The line is only 41½ points, but this could be a high-scoring Week 1 game. The offenses have been improved with off-season signings, and the defenses aren’t up to scratch.

That could result in an even 28-24 scoreline, and we expect wide receiver Chris Godwin to be much more consistent.

“We plan to let him do a lot of things that he does best,” coach Todd Bowles said. “He was coming off the injury last year, so I don’t know if he was at full tilt inside or outside, but he looks a lot quicker, a lot lighter, and he’s healthier now. He’s eager to learn and get the offense down, so we’re just excited to have him out on the field.”

Baker Mayfield can throw well on his day, and the Commanders offense could see rookie QB Jayden Daniels wanting to make an early impression.

His form at LSU is enough to see the Commanders’ offense improve, so expect this match to hit the over.

Don’t Miss the Rams-Lions Over 51 Points!

One of the highest totals of the week is the Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions.

The total is 51 points, and it’s high for a reason. The Lions and Rams are capable of putting up big totals, and expectations are high.

The first Sunday Night Football game of the season could be explosive, and although the last three meetings would have gone under the 51-point total, they have been high-scoring games.

They scored 47 points when the Lions won 24-23 earlier this year. Anything close to that game should be enough to see the total increase.

The Rams and Lions have Super Bowl aspirations, and getting off to a big scoring start in Week 1 is the perfect recipe for success. Bet the over at the sportsbook.
