1. 49ers TE George Kittle Anytime Touchdown

Everyone expects the Rams to continue to roll, but I’m pumping the brakes during this Week 15 divisional clash.

The 49ers have been battered all season in the running back room, and things worsened again in Week 14. They are without Christian McCaffrey, Jordan Mason and possibly Isaac Guerendo, who is dealing with a foot injury. The depth is being tested on another level, which means Kyle Shanahan will lean on Brock Purdy and the passing game.

Last week, tight end George Kittle posted a season-high 151 yards and is Purdy’s most trusted option. Since Brandon Aiyuk went down with a torn ACL, wide receiver Jauan Jennings has stepped up, but Kittle has consistently produced.

We can trust the 49ers’ offense to move the ball against the Rams’ defense, which ranks 28th in EPA per play, and give Kittle opportunities in the red zone. Per Rams vs 49ers stats, Kittle leads all San Fran pass catchers with 3.21 yards per route run against zone, which LA runs over 75% of the time.

Kittle has scored in three of four games without Aiyuk this season, excluding the snow game in Buffalo, and our NFL predictions have him finding the end zone again on Thursday night.

2. Rams WR Cooper Kupp Under 6½ receptions

Many won’t welcome my second NFL player prop today as we will fade Cooper Kupp. The veteran wide receiver is healthy and playing well, but he faces a difficult matchup on Thursday night. San Francisco’s Deommodore Lenoir has arguably been the best slot cornerback in the league in 2024.

Lenoir is having a breakout season. He has played the third-most snaps of any defensive back in the NFL from the slot. He has yet to allow a touchdown and has held opposing quarterbacks to the fourth-lowest passer rating when defending the slot. Kupp is the primary slot man for the Rams, even though Sean McVay will move him and Puka Nacua around the formation.

Kupp has taken a backseat to Nacua in 2024. Kupp has finished under six receptions in three of six games with Nacua healthy, including the past two. The 49ers’ defense is getting healthy at the right time, and Dre Greenlaw and Nick Bosa are possibly returning for Thursday’s game.

A healthy Kupp and QB Matthew Stafford are dangerous weapons to fade but I recommend to bet online on his total receptions to go under.
