5 NFL Player Prop Picks for Week 14: Josh Allen, James Cook Top AFC East Bets

  • The Dolphins meet the Jets in the only game featuring two AFC East teams in Week 14.
  • Josh Allen and James Cook are top prop bets for the Bills in Week 14.
  • Find my best NFL player props for Week 14 ahead.

The Buffalo Bills became the first NFL team to clinch a division title this season after rolling past the San Francisco 49ers. All the other three AFC East teams lost in Week 13. That won’t happen this week since the NFL betting lines have the Miami Dolphins favored against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The only other game involving AFC East teams has the Bills traveling across the country to meet up with the Los Angeles Rams.

The good news is that Drake Maye had two touchdown passes and Hunter Henry finished with 75 yards as both of our New England Patriots prop picks in Week 13 delivered. The bad news is that the Patriots don’t play in Week 14.

Let’s take a look at my 5 best NFL prop bets in the AFC East this weekend.

5 NFL Player Props to Bet in NFL Week 14 in the AFC East

1. Bills QB Josh Allen to Have 239+ Passing Yards (-115)

Josh Allen wasn’t asked to do much as the Buffalo Bills cruised past the injury-plagued San Francisco 49ers. He completed 13 of his 17 passes for 148 yards with a pair of touchdowns. He made history by becoming just the fifth player and first quarterback since 1970 to have a touchdown pass, run and TD reception in the same game.

Allen also got engaged to Hailee Steinfeld in one heck of a week for the Bills QB and MVP contender.

When making Week 14 NFL bets, we’ll pass on Allen being credited with throwing and catching a touchdown on the same play. We do like Allen at -115 to throw for at least 239 yards against a Rams team that is 15th in the NFL with an average of 215 passing yards allowed per game.

PICK: Josh Allen to have 239+ Passing Yards (-115)

2. Bills RB James Cook to Have 1+ Touchdowns (-143)

Since having a three-touchdown performance in Week 2, Buffalo running back James Cook has been making regular trips to the end zone. He has at least one touchdown in eight of his last 10 games.

After posting wins over Kansas City and San Francisco teams that played in the most recent Super Bowl, look for the Bills to lean on Cook in the matchup with the Los Angeles Rams as they still have their sights set on catching the Chiefs and earning the top seed in the AFC playoffs.

Cook has -143 odds to score 1+ touchdowns against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 14. He could offer plenty of value in the sports betting odds as the first touchdown scorer.

PICK: James Cook to 1+ Touchdowns (-143)

3. Miami RB De’Von Achane Patriots to have 1+ Touchdowns (-200)

De’Von Achane had two touchdown catches in his second game as a rookie and also ran for 203 yards and two more scores in quite the Welcome to the NFL performance.

Things were a little quieter early in his second NFL season. Achane ran for 30 yards or less in four of his first five games. However, he has been more involved in the passing game this season with six games with at least five catches.

Achane has at least one touchdown in five of his last six games. He has run for two scores and added five TD catches during that time.

There are so many ways to proceed when making Jets vs Dolphins NFL picks. Go with the -200 odds for Achane to have 1+ touchdowns on Sunday.

PICK: De’Von Achane to have 1+ Touchdown (-200)

4. Jets WR Garrett Wilson 60 + Receiving Yards (-113)

Something seems to be amiss between future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers and rising star Garrett Wilson with the New York Jets.

Wilson had at least 90 yards in four of his first eight games of the season. It has been a bit of a struggle to maintain that pace.

Over the last two weeks, Wilson has hauled in just nine of 18 targets for 59 yards. Much of the blame needs to go to Rodgers as the list of starting quarterbacks with a lower completion percentage than Rodgers this season is a pretty short one.

The good news is that you can get some pretty good value NFL prop odds for Wilson. Take a look at the props for the third-year receiver and former first-round pick.

PICK: Garrett Wilson to have 60+ Receiving Yards (-113)

5. Miami WR Jaylen Waddle to Have 5+ Receptions (+137)

Jaylen Waddle had finished with less than 50 receiving yards eight times in a nine-game stretch before getting loose for 144 yards on eight catches against the New England Patriots. He followed that up by snaring all four of his targets for 53 yards against the Green Bay Packers.

Expect Waddle to be targeted more than four times when the Dolphins face the Jets.

When making Week 14 NFL prop picks, the +137 odds for Waddle to have at least five receptions is a pretty good way to go.

PICK: Jaylen Waddle to have 5+ Receptions (+137)
