When making AFC East picks this week, the only game to look at is the Patriots vs Dolphins since both the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets have bye weeks. The NFL betting lines have the Dolphins as a 7-point favorite.

New England allowed both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp to go over 100 receiving yards last week as the two Los Angeles Rams receivers combined for three touchdown catches.

Drake Maye had back-to-back games when he rushed three times for 46 yards with a touchdown and eight times for 95 yards. His rushing numbers are down a bit in the last two games. but he is still a threat to make plays with his legs.

3. De’Von Achane to Find End Zone Early (+340)

De’Von Achane hasn’t had as many eye-opening plays as he did as a rookie, but he has topped 60 rushing yards in four of Miami’s last five games. He has also been targeted 25 times in the pass game over the last four contests.

Devon Achane has been an absolute stud this season.

Achane had just three carries and one reception the last time that the Dolphins played the Patriots. Expect him to be much busier in the rematch when making NFL picks.

4. Demario Douglas to Have 5+ Catches (+131)

There aren’t many productive 5-foot-8 receivers. However, second-year Patriots WR DeMario Douglas seems to have a nice on-field relationship with Maye. Per Patriots vs Dolphins stats, Douglas has at least four catches in each of the last three games.

The New England offensive line has been beset by injuries all season long and with Maye being a little turnover prone in recent contests, don’t be surprised to see Maye take some high-percentage completions to Douglas against the Dolphins.

After having 104, 75 and 72 catches while going over 1,000 yards in each of his first NFL seasons, it has been more of a grind for Miami receiver Jaylen Waddle in 2024. He has had more than 50 receiving yards in just one of his last nine games.

That has resulted in some tempting Patriots vs Dolphins betting odds for Waddle. The +127 odds for Waddle to have at least 52 receiving yards could be worth the risk.
