New England Patriots vs Houston Texans

Sunday, at 1 p.m. ET on FOX

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Patriots at Texans Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: Patriots -135, Texans +115
  • Point Spread: Patriots -2½
  • Total: 48

The New England Patriots (4-5) ride a two-game winning streak into NRG Stadium to face the underachieving Houston Texans (2-7). The annoyingly resilient Patriots are coming off an impressive 23-17 victory over the Ravens, and look to reach .500 here. As of this writing, the NFL odds on our online sportsbook show the Patriots as 2½ -point road favorites.

New England -2½ in Houston can be considered an online sport betting gift, since this will be a bloody massacre. The NFL betting gods have given us a freebie, so take it. The Patriots are 11-3 straight up over their last 14 games which followed consecutive wins. New England is also 6-1 ATS in its previous seven road contests against teams with losing records.

The Texans covered last week in a 10-7 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but they’re 0-5-1 ATS over their previous six after achieving an ATS win. Houston is 2-8 ATS overall, in its last 10. The Texans have the worst rush defense in the league, and that is a portent of doom vs a run-happy Patriots squad./

New England battered the Baltimore Ravens’ rushing defense for 173 yards and a TD, so clearing 250 vs Houston is feasible. On the other side of the ball, the Texans’ 22nd-ranked offense might find difficulty gaining traction against a surging Patriots’ defense. New England played solid defensively in this NFL Week 10 matchup, allowing only 17 points against a Baltimore offense that averages 27 PPG.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Sunday, 1 p.m. ET on CBS

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Steelers at Jaguars Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: Steelers -450, Jaguars +350
  • Point Spread: Steelers -10
  • Total: 46½

The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-0) and Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) find themselves on opposite ends of the Super Bowl Odds spectrum. Pittsburgh enters Jacksonville undefeated through nine games, while the Jaguars have lost eight straight and have fallen out of contention. A 10-point spread seems to be generous, although Jacksonville did hang in during a 24-20 loss in Green Bay last week.

The Jaguars only managed 151 passing yards vs the Packers and should struggle mightily against the Steelers fifth-ranked passing defense. Pittsburgh owns the ninth-best rushing D in the NFL as well, so what’s behind door #3? A loss for JAC.

Steelers’ QB Ben Roethlisberger’s odds to win regular season MVP took a giant leap forward, following his NFL Week 10 performance. Big Ben threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions, during a 36-10 stomping of Cincinnati last week. Over their last six games, the Steelers are 5-1 ATS, while the Jaguars are 1-5 ATS.

Tennessee Titans vs Baltimore Ravens

Sunday, 1  p.m. ET on CBS

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Titans at Ravens Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: NA
  • Point Spread: Ravens -6½
  • Total: 47

All of a sudden the Tennessee Titans (6-3) have lost three out of four, and the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) have lost two of their last three. The Titans were mashed by the Indianapolis Colts on national television in this past Thursday NFL matchup, losing 34-17 at home. This rematch of last season’s AFC Divisional Round matchup has shaped up to be extremely important for both teams.

For the most part, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore offense have been shadows of themselves this season. The Ravens have slipped to twelfth place, regarding offensive PPG, and Jackson’s passing performances have been largely pedestrian. Baltimore is pretty solid defensively, but New England’s backfield dominated in a 23-17 Patriots’ win last week.

The Patriots totaled 173 rushing yards and a score, with RB Rex Burkhead adding four catches for 35 yards and two more TDs. Something tells me that Derrick Henry will be very busy for the Titans this week. Baltimore is favored over Tennessee by 6½ points, but is 3-10-1 ATS over its previous 14 games as a favorite.

NY Jets vs Los Angeles Chargers

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Jets at Chargers Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: Jets +340, Chargers -420
  • Point Spread: Chargers -8 ½
  • Total: 47

The winless New York Jets blew a 10-point. fourth quarter lead against the Patriots back in an NFL Week 9 matchup, ultimately losing 30-27. NY has had almost two full weeks to ponder that painful loss, giving Adam Gase and the gang plenty of time to cook up new ways to lose. Our sportsbook is offering a +200 moneyline regarding the Jets’ odds to finish 0-16.

That’s a pretty nice payout, considering that the Los Angeles Chargers are the last potentially beatable team on the Jets’ 2020 calendar. My money is on an 0-16 finish, because it’s clear that Gase will be left to captain NY’s green and white flagship into the rocks. The online NFL betting odds are in favor of Gase becoming the next head coach fired, but the Jets organization probably will keep him for now. Ownership is happy to burn this season to the ground, watching from a safe distance.

Both of these teams leave a lot to be desired. My gut tells me that the Chargers will win the game, but fail to cover the spread. L.A. lost 29-21 last week to a Miami team that’s gaining momentum, and the Chargers are on a three-game skid. Los Angeles snaps that losing streak against the NFL’s worst offense and third-worst defense.

Miami Dolphins vs Denver Broncos

Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Dolphins vs Broncos Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: NA
  • Point Spread: Dolphins -3½
  • Total: 45

The Miami Dolphins (6-3) have won six of their last seven contests, and are riding a massive wave of momentum. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos (3-6) are losers of three of their previous four and are almost officially out of contention. Broncos’ head coach Vic Fangio is on the chopping block, and his team is desperate for a win here.

The Dolphins defeated the Chargers 29-21 in NFL Week 10 Matchup, and have become a serious threat to win the AFC East. Miami’s fifth-ranked defense should have a lot of fun with Denver, who leads the league in giveaways with 21. The Dolphins’ offense scores the ninth-most points in the NFL, and has been steady behind rookie QB Tua Tagovailoa.

The Broncos were pummeled 37-12 by the Los Vegas Raiders last week, turning over the ball five times in an embarrassing loss. Denver QB Drew Lock looked miserable, completing just 23-of-47 passes while throwing four interceptions. Lock is questionable to play. The Broncos’ defense allowed 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

Miami is 7-2 ATS this season, and 16-5 ATS in its previous 21 games. Dolphins’ head coach Brian Flores will have his surging squad fired up for this skirmish in Denver. Miami will be tied with idle Buffalo at 7-3 with a win, although the Bills currently win the tie-breaker.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders

Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC

AFC Week 11 Matchups: Chiefs at Raiders Betting Lines

  • Moneyline: NA
  • Point Spread: Off the board
  • Total: Off the board

Raiders defensive players placed on the COVID-19 list today:
* DB Jonathan Abram
* DT Maliek Collins
* DT Johnathan Hankins
* DB Isaiah Johnson
* DE Arden Key
* DT Kendal Vickers

— Field Yates (@FieldYates) November 18, 2020

Las Vegas Raiders (6-3). The Raiders were 11-point underdogs in Arrowhead in a NFL Week 5 Matchup, but gutted out a 40-32 upset win vs the Chiefs. Las Vegas is undefeated in the AFC West, and would be making a serious move by sweeping the season series with Kansas City.

The Chiefs barely survived at home vs the Panthers in NFL Week 9, winning 33-31 after Carolina K Joey Slye missed what would have been a game-winning 67-yard FG.  Now well-rested off the bye week, Kansas City flies to Vegas to exact revenge on the Raiders for Week 5. The Raiders allow 300.5 passing yards per game at home, so Patrick Mahomes might have himself a field day.

This game changed dramatically Wednesday when it was revealed seven players on the Las Vegas roster were placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. The players could be activated Sunday after five days on the list. For the time being, the game is off the board,
