AFC South Predictions: Which Underdog is Top Week 10 Pick?

  • The Texans are the only team in the AFC South with a winning record
  • The Jaguars can’t seem to close out games and are home underdogs versus the Vikings.
  • No AFC South team is favored in the Week 10 NFL betting lines

Welcome to the AFC South where only one team has a winning record and all the franchises in the division are underdogs in the NFL odds for Week 10. Let’s take a look at my weekly picks for the AFC South matchups.

AFC South Week 10 Betting Picks: Top Underdogs for Jaguars, Colts and Titans

The 6-3 Texans hold a two-game lead on the field in their division. Houston is a 3½-point underdog versus visiting Detroit on Sunday Night Football.

The struggling Jaguars are a 4-point underdog versus the Vikings. The quarterback carousel known as the Colts are 4½-point dogs versus the Bills. Finally, the woeful Titans are 9-point underdogs against the Chargers.

Here’s what you need to know about betting on the AFC South.

3 Bets in AFC South for Week 10

1. Fade Overmatch Colts (+4.5) vs Bills

There is a reason they build large towers in Vegas, but this feels like one of the easiest choices of NFL Week 10. The Colts made a quarterback change that dominated NFL news, but Indy ended up with similar results with Joe Flacco as QB1 compared to Anthony Richardson.

Indianapolis managed just 159 passing yards in the team’s 21-13 loss to the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. It’s always a bad sign when you think a quarterback you picked up at the retirement home is a better option than the QB you used a top-five pick on just a year ago.

As thrilling as it would be to dive more into the state of the Colts franchise, let’s get back to focusing on making money. The Bills covering the 4½-point spread versus the Colts is one of the best bets you can make this week in your NFL picks.

2. Fade Woeful Jaguars (+4) vs Vikings

The Jaguars are like that love interest that starts showing you attention, only to end up dating your best friend. Jacksonville did just enough to get fans’ hopes up against Philadelphia, only for a late Trevor Lawrence interception to end the Jaguars’ chance to pull off the upset.

The Jaguars showed enough hope to make us think they can hang with the Vikings. They very much could do that, but what’s more likely to happen?

If looking at Vikings vs Jaguars betting trends, we have enough of a sample size to know that the visitors are a much more consistent team. Take Minnesota (6-2) to cover ATS as 4-point favorites.

3. Don’t Back Titans (+9) vs Chargers

The Titans are coming off a 20-17 overtime win against the woeful Patriots. Yes, Tennessee is coming off a win, but this is the same team that has shown a propensity for getting blown out by the best teams on their schedule.

See defeats like the 52-14 loss to the Lions or a 34-10 beating by the Bills as just a couple of examples. The Chargers being favored by 9 points in the NFL betting odds feels like a huge number, but there is hardly anything to be optimistic with about the Titans.

We’re riding with Jim Harbaugh’s crew to cover the massive spread versus the Titans with out NFL predictions.
