Argonauts are “Clutch” in Cup
Played ‘on paper,’ the Argonauts face steep online gambling odds against the dynasty of the Blue Bombers. However, Toronto is also unbeaten in its last six Grey Cup appearances. Their last three wins even came as underdogs, against teams with better regular-season records.
This is a team that featured nine All-Stars, including at least one out of each defensive unit. There’s the defensive line (Shawn Oakman), linebackers (Wynton McManis) and secondary (Jamal Peters). “Defense wins championships” is what they say, and this trio leads a squad that led the CFL with 48 forced turnovers.
Offensively, quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson played one of his best games in the Division Final, 299 yards (two touchdowns, no interceptions). The return of Andrew Harris, who will be facing his old team, revitalizes their running game. This is making Toronto more dangerous than ever heading to the Grey Cup.

Blue Bombers Are Indomitable
Winnipeg won’t be intimidated by a vengeful Harris, or anyone. This team shut down the Nathan Rourke hype, unbeaten in the playoffs with Zach Collaros at the controls. Despite getting hurt late in the game against the BC Lions, the reigning Grey Cup MVP should be fine this Sunday.
The Bombers are coming in with the best offense in the CFL. This team is efficient, leading the regular season in passing touchdowns (44), committing the fewest turnovers (23). Collaros had the best passer rating (116.2) among starters outside of Rourke.
Winnipeg edged Toronto in their only meeting during the regular season. The Bombers forced four Argo turnovers, won despite conceding more yards in the game. Harris shredded the Bombers with 111 yards on the ground. That’s how Winnipeg is. When push comes to shove, it will bend, but not break.
