ATS Picks of Week: Ride With Bengals, Cowboys and Ravens

Man, I can’t believe we’re already 16 weeks into the NFL season. It feels as if it was yesterday that I was about to rip the TV out of my wall after seeing Aaron Rodgers go down for the season in Week 1.

In order to cope with such heartbreak and borderline insanity, my days have shifted to telling all you lovely BetUS sportsbook fans a few of my thoughts on football and other sports. For example, dishing out each week’s top against the spread (ATS) picks to be betting on.

Man, times have changed, huh?

Anyways, without further ado, let’s break down a trio of my expert NFL picks for your week 16 ATS betting purposes because, let’s face it – who wouldn’t want to score a couple extra bucks for that last-minute Christmas shopping spree?

Who’s Stopping the Cincinnati Bengals? Not the Steelers

Can you imagine just how desperate you have to be to go from Kenny Pickett to Mitch Trubisky – and then from Trubisky to Mason Rudolph?

No?

Well, that’s exactly what Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers are having to deal with as they get ready to play host to the streaking Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

As the Bengals come into this pivotal divisional road game as two-point favorites according to our NFL betting spread, I can’t honestly think of a reason not to back Cincinnati right now? Jake Browning has shown he can get the job done as the team’s new starting quarterback.

Even with the chances of star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase not playing, with his status up in the air according to various NFL news sites because of a shoulder injury, I would still take the Bengals in a heartbeat.

Why?

If you take T.J. Watt and a couple other players out of the equation, what do the Steelers bring to the table?

Exactly: little to no real punch power.

Just the fact that Rudolph is gearing up to be the starter in what could be the game that makes or breaks the team’s season is reason enough to stay away from Pittsburgh and back to Cincinnati.

So, do it and take Cincinnati ATS to cover and beat the Steelers on the road. You won’t regret it.

NFL Pick: Cincinnati Bengals -2 (-110)

Want a Christmas Eve NFL Odds Upset? Take Dallas ATS

Going from what could easily be one of the less exciting games in Week 16 to one of the two top-tier matchups with “Game of the Week” alert written all over, let’s talk about the Dallas Cowboys paying the Miami Dolphins a visit on Christmas Eve.

It’s funny how both of these teams function. One week they are both Super Bowl LVIII odds heavy hitters. But then, in a matter of seconds, and mostly when they face other top-tier squads, the bravado goes away and both the Cowboys and Dolphins are left looking like any other team.

Ok, maybe “any other team” is a bit harsh. That would be like comparing them to the Carolina Panthers or New England Patriots, and nobody deserves such an insult this season.

In what promises to be an offensive shootout between two teams of the best offenses in the league, I bring you a pick and an extra recommendation on the side just for kicks.

Take Dallas with the NFL betting lines upset, even if they are just 1½- point underdogs. When push comes to shove, even if Tyreek Hill is back in the lineup for Miami, Dallas’ secondary might prove to be too much for Tua Tagovailoa, Hill and Jaylen Waddle to handle.

Secondly, if there’s a game this week that will offer the best NFL prop bets on Sunday, it’s this one. So don’t overthink it and put your money on Dallas ATS and any and all prop bets you get your hands on.

NFL Pick: Dallas Cowboys +1 ½ (-110)

The Ravens aren’t Betting Favorites? Still, Take Them ATS

I don’t know what’s worse for the Baltimore Ravens here. On the one hand, there’s the fact that they have to fly from Maryland to San Francisco to play on Christmas Day against the San Francisco 49ers. That in itself feels like a kick below the belt for Lamar Jackson’s team.

On the other hand, even while being the team with the best odds to win the AFC title, they are still 5½-point underdogs. The disrespect is real here even if they’re playing the Niners, aka the best team in the NFC.

I get it, San Francisco’s offense is almost at the peak of perfection at this point of the season. With QB Brock Purdy and RB Christian McCaffrey, two NFL MVP odds candidates running the show, this offense, alongside the team’s already stout defense, has made San Francisco almost unstoppable.

But that’s where they key to my last ATS NFL pick for Week 16 lines. In that “almost”.

If Baltimore is able to get its running game going strong against San Francisco’s defense from the get-go, we could be in for one of the biggest upsets of the season in what could be a preview of Super Bowl LVIII.

Baltimore is averaging a league-high 163.8 rushing yards per game. Add to that the fact that it has a 9-1 record this season when rushing for 130+ yards and what do you get? That little space in time where that “almost” factor comes into play.

In short, if Jackson, another top NFL MVP candidate, gets fast-moving Baltimore’s offense, especially its rushing game, I say take Baltimore ATS to either lose by a couple of points or go all out and leave the Bay Area with a massive NFL lines win to celebrate Christmas.

NFL Pick: Baltimore Ravens +5 ½ (-110)
