Baltimore vs Washington Betting Analysis: Betting Lines

Team Point Spread Moneyline Over/ Under Team Total
Ravens -13 -750 47  30
Football Team +13 +550 47   17

Despite being humbled by KC at home on MNF, the Baltimore Ravens are heavy road-favorites vs Washington for Week 4. The most recent NFL odds on our sportsbook list the Ravens as favored by a whopping 13 points. Baltimore’s moneyline is essentially untouchable, sitting at a jaw-dropping -750.

That means a bettor would need to wager 3/4 of a grand to make $100 on the Ravens straight up. Can the Football Team pull off a monumental upset, thereby creating a massive payday for those who have faith?

Washington was thumped two weeks in a row, losing to Arizona and Cleveland by 15 and 14 points, respectively. This came after the Football Team beat smacked around an Eagles squad that was clearly overhyped.

However, the Ravens were dominated at home by the reigning champions. Was Baltimore’s embarrassing loss to Kansas City a hiccup on the way to the Super Bowl? Or was the beatdown a sign of larger problems for the Ravens?

Last Game

vs Chiefs

Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson was horrendous vs the Chiefs on MNF. Jackson completed 15-of-28 passes for a measly 97 yards and one score. “Action Jackson” also ran for 83 yards on nine carries, but that’s because he was often running for his life. The Kansas City “D: sacked Jackson four times, pressuring him all game long.

The Ravens managed 228 yards, while the Chiefs ripped Baltimore, amassing 517 total yards. Patrick Mahomes accounted for five touchdowns, throwing four and running for another one. Mahomes went 31-of-42 for 385 yards and made it look easy. Baltimore was served. Our MVP odds have certainly shifted after Mahomes’ performance vs the Ravens, and so have the Super Bowl Odds.

There is some obvious concern that the Ravens will experience a “hangover game” against the creatively named Football Team. After a devastating loss like the one Baltimore suffered to the Chiefs, it’s certainly possible. Washington is feisty.

Last Game

vs Browns

Washington played Cleveland pretty well, and led 20-17 heading into the fourth frame. The Football Team scraped out more total yards (309) than the Browns (300), and they ran the same exact number of plays (62).

However, Cleveland’s offense dominated time of possession by 7:13, and committed zero turnovers. Browns’ RB Nick Chubb was his beastly self, bowling over the Football Team’s defense for 108 yards and two touchdowns. QB Baker Mayfield performed as a high-level game manager, and it worked well for the Browns during Week 3.

Washington’s offense kept shooting itself, losing five key turnovers to Cleveland’s barking “D.” Football Team QB Dwayne Haskins committed four-out-of-five Washington giveaways, throwing three picks and losing a fumble. Haskins has seen better days, although they were probably while playing at Ohio State University.

The Browns thundered back in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good, winning 34-20 at FirstEnergy Stadium. Haskins finished 21-of-37 for 224 yards, with two TDs and three interceptions. “Simba” completed three or more passes to six different Football Team receivers. Haskins connected with WR Dontrelle Inman for two scores, and RB Antonio Gibson blasted his way to paydirt for another. Expect Haskins to be dialed in more tightly in Week 4.

Baltimore vs Washington: Betting on the Game

Point Spread

Thirteen is a big number. However, the Ravens’ average margin of victory in their two wins is 24½ points. Also, the Football Team’s losses occurred by an average of 14½ points, so we’ve got to determine what teams are showing up.

The likelihood Baltimore experiences some type of hangover in Washington is pretty high, and we know that Washington’s “D” can bring it hard. Taking the home dog with 13 points in this situation is a pretty sweet-looking package.

Moneyline

Do you really think the Ravens will lose to a squad called the Football Team? Probably will not. That doesn’t mean that you should bet a pile of money on Baltimore’s moneyline to reap pennies, either. Unless you’re feeling really good about Washington in the role of home dog assassin, steer clear of the moneyline here.

Over/ Under

Rock-solid defenses are in play at FedEx Field. Both starting quarterbacks will likely be terrorized and neither should be expected to enjoy tremendous success. It’s hard to imagine a lot of points being scored.

Baltimore vs Washington Betting Analysis: Final Score

If the gambling gods put a gun to my head, I’d predict a final score of Ravens, 23-13.
