Bet Rams in Short Week Against Fraudulent Saints

In this Thursday Night Football between two 7-7 NFC outfits, we’re backing the home team: the Los Angeles Rams. While they have an identical record as the New Orleans Saints, we’re hitching our wagons to Sean McVay and the resurgent Rams offense. Los Angeles is 3-1 in its last four games while New Orleans has beaten up the worst teams. As such, the best pick for NFL this week is on the favorites.

Bet Rams to Win

We love the Rams in this ‘TNF’ matchup. But at their current NFL odds, -4 and -210 are tricky numbers for them. The sportsbook is protecting itself against a teaser here, which is something we can recommend: a 1½-point teaser with another team to cut the Rams’ spread to under a field goal.

Sean McVay is 5-1 in ‘TNF’ and he’s the much better coach in this game. Dennis Allen and the Saints can only beat the losing teams in the NFL as the recent betting trends suggest. And we’d rather have Matthew Stafford, who has been on fire since the bye, than Derek Carr for our NFL predictions.

The Rams are also getting healthier and can get a few key players back. While this team’s depth and special teams play remain suspect, it should have enough to get past the clunky Saints on a short turnaround.

Total Bet: Under 44½

The Rams’ defense is vulnerable though it has been on a roll lately. They’ve held five of their last six opponents to 20 points or fewer. The Saints also have a subpar offense. Against teams at .500 or better, the Saints average only 18.3 points. They failed to hit the 20-point mark six times this season. Bet the ‘under’.

Unleash the Kyren! Bet Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-150)

If the Rams are to deliver as we expect, we will need a solid outing from Kyren Williams. McVay’s offenses are significantly better when he has a dependable running back, hence why the Rams are unbeaten on the spread when he rushes for 100+ yards and/or scores a touchdown. As an NFL betting tip, bank on him to score a TD.
