The most popular prop bet is taking the over-under for the total length of the national anthem. The time for the Super Bowl 59 national anthem is set at 120½ seconds, with the under the current favorite at -130.
Every year this bet sparks plenty of conspiracies with wide shifts in the Super Bowl odds based on supposed inside intel during practice runs for the anthem.
Here’s what you need to know about national anthem betting for Super Bowl 59.
Super Bowl National Anthem Odds: History Says Bet the Over
1. National Anthem Hit Over in 5 of Last 6 Super Bowls
If you are looking for history as an indicator for the Super Bowl 59 national anthem, the NFL betting lines have trended towards the over.

In fact, the over has hit in five of the last six Super Bowl national anthem performances. The over is 10-6-2 in the last 18 Super Bowls. A year ago, Reba McEntire had a betting line of 1:30 and easily went over in Super Bowl 58.
2. Past Performances By Batiste Offer Betting Insight
Looking back at Batiste’s past performances, it looks as though the over could be the play for Super Bowl 59 – with one important caveat. Batiste has done the national anthem on several occasions and uses different instruments depending on the performance.
A 2020 NBA performance saw Batiste sing the national anthem in about 1:47, per The Athletic. Yet, this also included a brief interlude with “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

I am inclined to think that Batiste will go with a more jazzy version of the national anthem, given the game’s location in New Orleans. This would be a strong lean towards the over in addition to his past history.
My Super Bowl prediction for the national anthem: Bet the over on the length of 120½ seconds.

3. No Shortage of Super Bowl National Anthem Prop Bets
The Super Bowl prop betting options do not just stop with the length of the national anthem. Fans can bet on the length of the final note (over-under 3½ seconds). There also is a prop bet as to whether Batiste will use a piano for the performance.
There are even ways to involve the Chiefs and Eagles. You can bet on whether an Eagles or Chiefs player will cry during the national anthem. There are also bets on what players or coaches will be shown first during the Super Bowl performance.
Whatever you decide, just remember to keep your bankroll in check when you bet online. I wouldn’t bet too much money on something that will be decided before the Super Bowl kicks off.
