There are still numerous questions surrounding the Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots game on Sunday. The Bills’ starters will likely sit or just play a few snaps. Having locked up the No. 2 seed in the AFC, it’s a preseason game for Buffalo with backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky playing for the most part.

But we can still be certain of a few things: Buffalo is still better and can still put up points. That’s worth using as the theme for this NFL same-game parlay.

3 Legs to Bet for Bills vs Patriots Same Game Parlay
1. Buffalo ML (-145)
Buffalo beats New England even with backups. The Bills are better coached and will get up for Sean McDermott. Say what you will about his playoff shortcomings or poor late-game management decisions. McDermott is still one of the best at motivating his team even in seemingly meaningless games. That’s why Buffalo’s the NFL parlay pick.
For New England, the Patriots will start rookie quarterback Drake Maye, who may also not play the full game. Head coach Jerod Mayo will be tested if he can get his team to push in a semi-hostile home environment. Maye is good but the Patriots have meager talent. They’re still losing and another loss on Sunday ensures the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, per NFL news.

2. Buffalo Bills Total Points – Over 19.5
Trubisky was a Pro Bowler at one point in his career and he can at least get Buffalo to 20+ points. Josh Allen, the -325 favorite in NFL MVP odds, may play more than a few snaps and score a touchdown. The backups can come up with the other 13. Either way, the Bills still have a more talented roster (despite the lack of Pro Bowl selections).
Pro Bowl voting is a joke.

Running back James Cook might just play with an edge for the limited time he’s on the field. He’s had big performances when it comes to NFL player prop picks, especially on the road. The Patriots just got smashed with a 40-point Charger loss.
Before that, New England gave up 28+ points in three of its last five games, according to Bills vs Patriots stats.
Bet This Parlay Pick: Buffalo Total Points – Over (19.5)
3. Total Touchdowns – Over (3.5)
Alternative to betting online on the total, this may be more feasible for our same-game parlay. Buffalo will most likely score a pair of touchdowns. Three is asking for something. But a fired-up Cook plus a few snaps from Allen could be enough for an early TD. Maybe even take a chance on a punt return against New England’s porous defense here.
The question becomes if New England can score a pair of touchdowns. We’ll trust Maye to account for one but if he sits out part of the game, Jacoby Brissett can still pad his NFL stats and throw a pair of TDs. New England’s offense is inept but it still produced three TDs in a similarly situational game with Buffalo just two weeks ago.
PARLAY PICK: Total Touchdowns – Over (3.5)
Bet on Buffalo Bills to win, Buffalo Total Points – Over (19.5), and Total Touchdowns – Over (3.5)
