Broncos, Falcons and Commanders ATS Lead Our NFL Best Bets Of The Week

Another week of NFL action is upon us, and with it, the chance to get your online betting game going strong with a trio of the best ATS games of the week.

With the Denver Broncos looking to extend their winning streak to six as they pay a visit to the Houston Texans, the Atlanta Falcons hitting the road to square off against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium and the Washington Commanders playing host to the perennial NFL lines favorites Miami Dolphins, let’s break down how to make the most money betting ATS on these games.

Denver, I’m Officially Surprised and Low-Key Impressed

Whoever told Sean Payton the secret formula to make the Broncos work, congratulations. Coming into this game riding a five-game winning streak and with a defense that once again is playing at the level Denver has gotten its fans used to, if I was a team facing them, like the Texans this weekend, I would be scared.

Allowing only 16 points per game, all while making QB pressuring one of this defense’s biggest strengths, Denver is all in for giving rookie QB sensation C.J. Stroud a beatdown come Sunday.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of everything Stroud and the Texans are doing. I can definitely see this team being the new hottest squad in the AFC South. But you can’t deny that this turnaround the Broncos have shown lately makes taking them ATS one of the best NFL picks this week.

So do it, take Denver as they go for the NFL betting upset on the road.

NFL Pick: Denver Broncos +3½ (-110)

Don’t Expect a Pretty Game, but Take Atlanta To Cover

I’ll be honest, I don’t have to lie, I hate having to write negatively about the Jets. But in all honesty, with the joke of an offense the team has, and the lack of any true leadership from the coaching staff, my hatred leans more toward that than anything else.

In all honesty, how can an NFL betting lines fan be expected to trust the Jets on Sunday? Or any other week left in the season? If this team had found any sort of way to build its offense, we wouldn’t be talking about it as underdogs against a team like the Falcons. But here we are, so let’s get to it.

Even if New York’s defense once again brings its “A” game and keeps Atlanta’s offense under siege, the offense holds so little leverage that it’s easier to take the Falcons to cover the NFL spread than anything else.

Now that Atlanta has finally realized how to properly use rookie RB Bijan Robinson to his fullest, and with QB Desmond Ridder looking like a passer the team can trust, at least for another weekend, take Atlanta to cover the spread and make true of their NFL odds favoritism here, even if the game ends up being a boring mess.

NFL Pick: Atlanta Falcons -3 (EV)

What? Washington over Miami ATS? Yes, and Here’s Why

I dare you to tell me you are still not sold on the Dolphins. As a Jets fan, I had to endure watching my team get the pulp beaten out of Miami on Black Friday. Even I can admit I’m sold on this team as one of the top Super Bowl LVIII odds favorites.

The offense plays at a level that almost seems impossible to contain. The Dolphins have one of the best, if not the best, young coach in the league. Everything seems to be going perfect for Miami. Except for the defense, that unit still needs some work.

After losing star pass rusher Jaelan Phillips to an injury last week, Miami will have a harder time trying to contain Sam Howell and Washington’s offense. Between that and Ron Rivera taking over defensive play-calling duties after the Commanders canned DC Jack Del Rio, I can see Washington giving Miami a little scare on Sunday.

Washington has shown at times, it has enough juice on offense to put strong numbers on the scoreboard. If the Commanders take that, throw in a little bit of a boost of motivation, and play into Miami’s defensive weaknesses, they can easily keep the score close, even while ultimately losing the game.

I might not know how to tell the future, but my expert NFL prediction here is to take Washington ATS. It has gone 5-1-1 ATS in its last seven games where the team was pitted as a two-score underdog. So if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, take the Commander’s ATS.

NFL Pick: Washington Commanders +10 (-120)
