Bucking Broncos an ATS Special vs Rams

Calling the Denver Broncos a “special” is a strong call against the Los Angeles Rams, but NFL lines agree with us.

The sportsbook has the winless Broncos at -235 against the 0-2 Rams, and playing at home could make all the difference for Denver.

Bucking Broncos an ATS Special vs Rams

There is excellent value with sports betting markets for the NFL preseason Week 3 matchup.

Hard to Trust Rams

We can’t imagine many NFL picks will feature the Los Angeles Rams this week. They have yet to win, and have yet to impress on any level.

They kicked off their preseason with a 34-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers before losing 34-17 to the Las Vegas Raiders. Both defeats came at home, so playing on the road won’t help their chances.

Ever since winning the Super Bowl, it has been nothing but backward for the Rams, and although having quarterback Matthew Stafford helps, that won’t mean much on Saturday.

They could be saving their good play for the regular season, but they are +6 with NFL betting odds for a reason, and we can’t find many reasons to bet on them.

The only positive was backup QB Stetson Bennett, who went 15 of 24 against the Raiders. He rushed for a touchdown, but he also threw a 50-yard pick-six.

Some good learning opportunities and some good bounce-back, but there’s definitely some moments that I’ve got to improve on,” Bennett said. “There was times where it did slow down for me, and there was times when it was going fast.

Broncos Bursting for Win

Vegas NFL lines have confidence in the Broncos to turn around two one-point losses during the preseason.

Despite having moderate expectations in 2023, the Broncos have shown enough so far to suggest that they’re a good wager in Week 3.

They didn’t lose any backers when losing their most recent game 21-20 to San Francisco, which came on the road. It made up for losing to Arizona by one point in their opening game, which also came on the road.

The Broncos played most of their game against the 49ers against former No. 3 overall pick Trey Lance, so it wasn’t an easy matchup. However, Broncos QB Jarrett Stidham held his own, going 12 of 17. We hope Stidham gets plenty of game time as his confidence is building.

The Broncos blew a late eight-point lead against the 49ers, so for most of the game, they were the more impressive.

Bettors can an excellent -6 line, and if they start well, live betting odds could see that push to double digits.

Rams vs Broncos Head to Head

The worry for Broncos’ backers is their inferior head-to-head record against the Rams, who are 10-5 after winning the last five meetings.

The most recent meeting came in 2022 when the Rams were blowout winners 51-14. However, there were only three points the difference when they last met in Denver.

Rams vs Broncos Betting Lines

Rams vs Broncos Game Prediction

Predicted Score: Broncos 26, Rams 13

Worth Betting the Moneyline?

We are including the Broncos in our NFL parlays. They should have too much firepower for a Rams team down on confidence.

We’re confident with them at the quarterback position, and their defense has done more than enough to win this game outright.

Worth Betting ATS?

Taking a -6 line is never easy, but we picture the Broncos winning by at least a touchdown.

They should take an early lead and never look back, which could force the Rams into making turnovers in the second half.

The current line could move to -7, so it’s important to snap up the current line.

Pick: Denver Broncos -6 (-110)

Worth Betting on the Totals?

Bookmakers have a low total set at 36½. We predicted 39 points being scored, mostly from the Broncos.

It’s not our most confident pick, especially compared to the money line and points spread, but include it in your picks.

Pick: Over 37 (-110)
