We thought the Texans were only holding on over the last few weeks. They got past Tennessee last week, but that’s not a hard task, and they were thumped by the Ravens 31-2 prior to that.

He has a 65.9% competition rate and he comes off a 28-completion game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Granted, Houston’s defense is better, but we see Herbert picking up short yardage and controlling the game.

Per Chargers vs Texans stats, Herbert had 23 or more completions in his last three games, including 26 against the New England Patriots. He might have started the season with low completion numbers, but as his confidence grew, he became more comfortable throwing the ball.

“It would mean everything for us (to get a win). It is the most important game this year because it’s the next one,” Herbert said.

We have backed rookie Ladd McConkey many times and he keeps delivering for NFL prop lines bettors, so there’s no reason to jump off his back.

It has been an excellent year for the Chargers receiver, who could benefit from Herbert upping his passing rate on Saturday. We expect it to be a pass-heavy offense, and McConkey has a knack of getting open.

He has 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns, and being 10th in the NFL in receiving yards is quite outstanding for someone who went under the radar as a Round 2 NFL Draft pick. He’s showing why he should have been taken earlier, but we don’t mind him going under the radar.

We’re confident he’ll have 74+ yards. It pays -114, so it’s a good NFL same-game parlay pick.
