Chargers vs Vikings Week 3 Same Game Parlay NFL Picks September 24

I don’t feel too strongly about either side of what should be a tight game between the Chargers and Vikings in Week 3. Nor do I have any LAC vs. MIN NFL score predictions for September 24.

I can offer three free NFL picks for the price of none that you can use for a same-game parlay on Sunday.

Kirk Cousins Over (291) Passing Yards (-117)

The Chargers are a great matchup for the Vikings ‘talented passing attack led by Kirk Cousins to exploit in Week 3. Over the first two weeks, no defense has allowed more passing yards per attempt (9.7) or per game (333) than the Chargers.

One reason I like Cousins to go Over his passing yardage total is the Chargers’ issues with limiting downfield passes. Between Tua Tagovailoa and Ryan Tannehill, LA’s defense has allowed opposing offenses to go 12 of 19 on passes that were 15 or more yards downfield. No other team in the league allowed that many downfield completions through the first two weeks.

Cousins tend to favor downfield throws and, with several capable receivers, should come away with a few big plays in this game.

Because of this matchup, there are other NFL betting props to consider, with Cousins including longest completion, total completions, and passing touchdowns.

Using the prop builder at BetUS Sportsbook, I cranked Cousins’ NFL line up to 312 passing yards at (+106).

Justin Jefferson Anytime TD Scorer (+100)

We’ve already covered why the Vikings offense should enjoy a strong day in the passing game with our wager on Cousins. But I see no reason not to double down our NFL props on the one-two combo of Cousins and Jefferson.

Justin Jefferson, the reigning Offensive Player of the Year, continues his dominance and currently leads the NFL with 309 yards receiving. As impressive as that is, Jefferson has yet to reach the end zone through two weeks.

It’s an excellent matchup for Jefferson to break his scoreless streak, considering the Chargers allow the 25th most TDs per game (3.5), and opposing receivers come up with nearly 70% of passes thrown their way.

With LA’s passing defense in shambles, these player props are among the best NFL picks today you can make.

1st Half Total Points Under 26.5 (-110)

Good offenses against two bad defenses is a recipe for a bet online on a high-scoring game. But that doesn’t mean the whole game will be an offensive clinic.

The Chargers average the 4th most yards per game on offense but allow the 25th most points on defense. It’s the same story in Minnesota, where the Vikings net 371.5 yards per game but allow an NFL-worst 438.5 on defense.

Despite having great offensive numbers, both teams are like British cars from the 1970s. They take time to warm up and get going from a cold start.

The Vikings are one of a few teams who have yet to score a single point in the first quarter of games this season and rank 23rd in first-half scoring. Things are better for the Chargers, with an average of five points per game in the first quarter. But it takes two to send a total soaring.

If you plan on making live NFL bets during this game, consider the 1Q Under, with both teams slow to start over the first two weeks.

Creating a same-game parlay from the three picks listed above at the current NFL odds would boost said odds to +608.
