For the Los Angeles Rams, getting receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua back has opened up the offense. Quarterback Matthew Stafford had his best game of the season against Minnesota on a short turnaround.
He completed 73.5% of his throws for four touchdowns. The latter is more than what he’s thrown all season. The total went over.
With Miami, getting Tua Tagovailoa back has made it look like the team of old. Miami scored 27 points in back-to-back games and against solid defenses in Arizona and Buffalo. The total went over in both of these games.
On the flip side, these teams also have vulnerable defenses. The Rams still have injuries on this side and are giving up 24.3 points per game. They are also allowing 7.9 net yards per pass attempt.
Miami has given up 28 and 30 points in its last two games. That’s why it hasn’t won since Tagovailoa returned. The Dolphins are struggling at forcing turnovers and yielding plenty of rushing touchdowns (10).
