Double Down on Monday Night Football NFL Betting Props With Two Primetime Games

With two Monday Night Football games this week, we’re not only #blessed to have an extra game to watch and a second game to make NFL picks and NFL lines. With so much action to end Week 2, I thought what better way to double down on two games than to make an MNF Primetime Parlay that covers both.

The first game of the night is between the New Orleans Saints (1-0) and Carolina Panthers (0-1), while the second game kicks off an hour later between the Cleveland Brown (1-0) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1).

Bryce Young Under 193.5 Passing Yards (-118)

The first of our NFL expert picks to add to our MNF primetime parlay is on a fade on Carolina Panthers’ rookie quarterback Byrce Young after an unattractive NFL debut.  Young was 20 of 38 with just 146 yards and two ugly interceptions. With a terrible offensive line in front of him, he was pressured constantly by a below-average Falcons’ front seven.

Unfortunately for Young, the Saints do not have a mediocre defense and are quite stingy. Their defense led them to a Week 1 victory, with the Titans only scoring 16 points.

Young dealt with a lot of pressure in Week 1, and with the loss of offensive lineman Brady Christensen, my expectations for Young have taken a major hit. Additionally, after watching highlights (lowlights) all week, it’s clear that Young’s receivers might not be up to the task and struggled to get separation.

At 193.5 yards, Young’s passing total for Monday night is modest, but with just 3.8 yards of an attempt in his debut, he will have a difficult time coming close to that mark. It wouldn’t surprise me for Young to finish Week 2 with around 150 passing yards after putting up another stinker.

With reasonable NFL odds to go under 193.5, I’m all over this wager as the first leg of our Monday night parlay.

Deshaun Watson Over 24.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Monday’s NFL predictions continue with another QB player prop. This time, I’m going over the total, but it’s not for passing yards but rather for Deshaun Watson to rush for more than 24.5 yards.

While you may be scratching your head looking at T.J. Watt on the opposing defense and wondering why I would trust Watson to succeed. The thing is, I don’t view Watson going over this total as a success for the Browns. If he has a good game on the ground, it will be because Watt is clowning on the Browns D-line and forcing their QB out of the pocket as he scampers for his life.

This NFL line is also way under Watson’s average of 31.4 yards per game as a member of the Browns and his lifetime average of 31.1 YPG. For reference, he scampered for 45 yards and a rushing TD in Week 1.

With solid Vegas NFL odds at -114, I’m happy to add this prop as our MNF parlay’s second leg.
