Eagles vs Giants Week 7 Predictions: Pick Philly ATS in Saquon Barkley’s Return to NY, 10/20
- Week 7 NFL odds still favor the Eagles to win the NFC East division, even while trailing Washington.
- Want a “Revenge Game” for week 7? How about Barkley’s return to NY?
- Giants hope rookie WR Malik Nabers will return to the lineup this Sunday.
- Read on to find the best NFL pick against the spread.
The 3-2 Philadelphia Eagles know that while in Week 7 of the 2024 season, it’s never too early to start separating themselves from their divisional competition in hopes of making a playoff run. Of course, it would be easier said than done if they weren’t already chasing the surprising dark horse Washington Commanders for the NFC East lead, but hey, one stepping stone at a time here, ok?
On Sunday, two critical narratives will take center stage when the Eagles take the field at MetLife Stadium to play the 2-4 New York Giants. One: Philly looks to move to 4-2 and score their first divisional win. And two: Saquon Barkley’s return to New York to face off against his former team.
With the NFL betting spread showing the Eagles as early favorites to take the game, what should you be betting on this Sunday to score big?

2 Best Betting Picks for Eagles vs Giants on Oct. 20
1. Pick Eagles to Cover as Barkley Rips Giants Apart
A couple of days ago, I was listening to a podcast in which they asked a former Giants player, Justin Pugh if he believes “revenge games” are a thing or if they’re just a fluke to spike interest. It didn’t take the former Giant three seconds to certify just how real and important revenge games are for players facing their former teams. Thus, the importance of Barkley’s return to MetLife with the Giants this weekend.
Revenge games. Real or fake?
Players take it personally, trust me!

I’ll be honest: If I had a dollar to spare, I would use it to bet on NFL action. But if I had two dollars to spare, I would bet that other dollar that every single football fan across the land thought Barkley would be a Giant forever.
That’s why it came as a shock when NFL news broke that Barkley was leaving New York and heading to the Eagles, one of his former team’s most hated divisional and historic rivals. In five games this season with Philly, Barkley has already recorded 482 rushing yards with four touchdowns, showing that not only did he have plenty of juice left in the tank but also that New York should’ve thought twice about letting him walk.

Even if New York’s defensive line has shown to be a dominant unit when stuffing up the line of scrimmage and roughing opposing quarterbacks and rushers, there’s nothing that motivates an offensive line more than to help a teammate of theirs get a bit of revenge on a former team that didn’t want to show him love.
Between Barkley tearing the Giants a new one and Jalen Hurts and company coming out and playing at an above-average level from what they’ve been showing thus far, this should be an easy win for Philadelphia, as they not only take the road dub but cover the spread, and an easy NFL expert pick to back.

2. Don’t Trust New York’s “Meh” Offense, Go Under the Total
This second NFL Week 7 prediction is easy and short. Neither have the Eagles nor Giants played at a level of offensive dominance that would make any bettor jump for joy taking the over in this game’s total.
Between New York’s defense looking to stuff up Hurts and Philly’s O-line, and Daniel Jones looking for answers leading the Giants offense, I wouldn’t buy into taking the over even if my sanity depended on it.
Even if Malik Nabers does suit up for New York this weekend, which would be a prayer answered for Jones, that still doesn’t hide the fact that the Giants are averaging 16.0 points scored per game while the Eagles are averaging 21.2

So, again, it’s easy and short. Don’t expect an offensive shootout; play it safe and bet the under.
