The NFL is back in action and we have a four-team parlay ready to roll out for Week 1.
There is excellent value with Las Vegas NFL odds this week, but cherry-picking the best games can be a fine art.
Our four games are all great betting opportunities to help bettors build their bankroll for the rest of the season.
Philadelphia Eagles vs Atlanta Falcons
Sunday, Sept, 12, 1 p.m., EST
Bettors should always respect the potential of the Philadelphia Eagles, but we’re confidently backing against them in Week One.

Last season couldn’t have ended much worse for the Falcons, who lost to the likes of Kansas City and Tampa Bay to close it out. However, it’s a new season, and it’s not like the Eagles were much better.
They ended last season with losses to Dallas and Washington, so they’re not brimming with confidence.
The current line is -3, which has been backed into -125. We’re likely to see the line move, which isn’t surprising for a team that still has plenty of upside.
Pick: Atlanta Falcons -3 (-125)
San Francisco 49ers vs Detroit Lions
Sunday, Sept. 12, 1 p.m., EST
It would take a brave bettor to confidently back the Detroit Lions. We’re predicting another long season for the Lions, who could go winless for the first six or seven weeks.
San Francisco has much more upside after a tough 2020 season. The 49ers are much better than advertised with that season under their belt, and they could make a deep playoff run in 2021.
Jimmy Garoppolo has earned the starting quarterback spot over Trey Lance, which we like. His experience will do wonders for this team, and we think coach Kyle Shanahan could have a breakout year.
“I think that they did exactly what they were supposed to and everything,” Garoppolo told NFL.com. “Obviously it’s a weird situation in and of itself, but just I don’t know, throughout all of it try to stay focused on myself and focused on getting this team better and putting us in the right position.”
Our NFL predictions have the 49ers winning over 10 games, which should start with a comfortable victory over the hapless Lions.
Bookmakers have a nine-point line, which is an important number. San Francisco should be winning by double digits to kick off its season in style.
Pick: San Francisco 49ers -9 (-105)
New York Jets vs Carolina Panthers
Sunday, Sept. 12, 1 pm, EST
There hasn’t been much love for former New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, but what better way to get back at the team that traded you?
We think Darnold has a good season with the Carolina Panthers, especially with Christian McCaffery at the running back position. The duo should gel well, and we think the pressure is off Darnold for the time being.
#Panthers QB Sam Darnold had a chance to throw the #Jets organization under the bus when the media asked him about the lack of weapons, protection in NY, but he took blame instead. Always has been a stand up guy: #NYJvsCAR #TakeFlight #KeepPounding pic.twitter.com/ZpRC9PXVBo

Playing in New York comes with its pressures, so with a couple of seasons under his belt, we expect a much improved Sam Darnold.
We also expect McCaffery to return from injury in fine form. The former Stanford star is tipped as our Comeback Player of the Year, so there is value in our NFL picks against the spread on Sunday.
Carolina is the -4 favorite, and given how poor the Jets have been over the last few years, it should have no problem covering the number.
Pick: Carolina Panthers -4 (-110)
Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots
Sunday, Sept. 12, 4:25 pm, EST
One of our more confident games of the week is the Miami Dolphins vs New England Patriots.
We’re backing the Patriots to have a bounce back year with Mac Jones at quarterback. Nothing went right with Cam Newton at the helm last season, and his inconsistent attitude was a big part of that.
Jones brings excitement back to New England, who will be keen to get a win over the Dolphins. Miami has been a bogey team for New England over the last few years, so a Week One win is important.
Putting our faith in a rookie quarterback is a risk, but we’re happy with the -3 line, and bet online markets are being kind. We expected the line to push out further, so we’ll happily take the field goal margin.
We’re not discounting the talent of Miami, but playing at Gillette Stadium isn’t easy, and there should be a high level of excitement with the home fans. It could be too much for Miami to handle, and we think New England’s defense steps up.
