Have a Merry Christmas and Bet Ravens-49ers Over the Total

The NFL presents a “Christmas Special” as the NFL’s two best teams, Baltimore and San Francisco, duel on Monday Night Football. Looking at the betting odds, the 49ers should beat the Ravens as the home team. But that’s not the best NFL bet today. We have much better plays than this and it involves the total and the underdog.

Bet Total to Go Over 47

Baltimore and San Francisco have the two best-scoring defenses in the NFL. Combined, these teams allow just 32.8 points. However, the 49ers may need help to contain the Ravens. Baltimore has scored 31+ points in its four games against NFC opponents this season. The Ravens also rushed for 139+ yards in three of these four games.

Jackson also plays better against NFC teams. He has eight total touchdowns (seven by passing) against just one pick. He’s completing over 68% of his throws and has a 109.0 passer rating. The totals went over in three of these four games.
On the flip side, the 49ers have been on fire, averaging 34.5 points. San Francisco has scored 28+ points in all but three games, which they lost due to injuries to quarterback Brock Purdy and star receiver Deebo Samuel. With both healthy, we don’t need NFL expert picks to tell us San Francisco will light it up. Bet on the totals here to go over 47.

Bet Ravens as Underdogs +5½

The Ravens are the NFL pick against the spread (ATS) and moneyline. Look at this stat: Jackson is 19-3 against NFC teams. Baltimore also has the best offense now and San Francisco has shown vulnerability to the running game. The 49ers got gashed for 234 rushing yards as Kyler Murray averaged over eight yards when he ran the ball. Jackson will eat. Ravens win.

Fly With Lamar – Over 220½ Passing Yards (-113)

There are plenty of NFL odds to play regarding Jackson’s props. Between his rushing and passing props, there is more value in the latter. Jackson has a potent arm and can exploit San Francisco’s secondary, which is missing a few key players. Bet on Jackson to eclipse 220½ passing yards and 1½ touchdowns given their NFL lines.
