If Week 3 is anything like Week 2, bettors should prepare for plenty of headaches. Sunday was a nonstop roller-coaster ride with a long list of dramatic finishes. The Atlanta Falcons won on a game-winning field goal. The Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans were victorious in overtime. Which bets are the next in line to win big?

Take Advantage of Patriots’ Head-to-Head Dominance

The New York Jets were manhandled in a 30-10 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Zach Wilson was decent for most of the game before a complete meltdown. Wilson finished with three interceptions.

While Wilson struggled, New York’s defense was more concerning. The Jets allowed 382 yards and were shredded through the air. The Jets could be in store for another loss as they face the New England Patriots in Week 3.

This has been one of the most lopsided head-to-head matchups in the NFL. New England has won 14 consecutive games against New York. The Pats are also 8-2 against the spread (ATS) in the previous 10 meetings.

NFL Live betting odds have New England as a 2½-point favorite in Week 3. The Patriots are 0-2, mostly due to inconsistency. They trailed the Philadelphia Eagles 16-0 in Week 1 and the Miami Dolphins 10-0 in Week 2. However, New England mounted comebacks in both games, which provided interesting finishes.

Fortunately, the Pats will get a familiar opponent this week. Beating up on New York is one of New England’s annual traditions. If the Patriots put together a complete game, this one could get out of hand.

The Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions entered the season as potential playoff teams in the NFC. So far, both look the part. NFL odds have Atlanta (2-0) at -150 to make the playoffs while Detroit (1-1)is the favorite to win the NFC North (-105).

The Falcons-Lions should be one of the most interesting matchups of NFL Week 3. The early total line is an intriguing bet. Betting sports is never a guarantee, but the under for the projected total of 45½ is a favorable pick.

The Falcons’ defense has shown improvement through two weeks, especially in the secondary. Atlanta ranks fourth in allowed passing yards per game. The Falcons’ offense still heavily leans on the run game. Detroit’s defense has also taken a step forward, ranking in the top 10 of allowed rushing yards per game and surrendered yards per carry.

With Atlanta’s thriving secondary, the Lions could look to run more often. The Falcons are always looking to run the rock, ranking fourth in carries per game. A run-heavy attack from both sides would lead to a shortened game, favoring the under.

The under is 7-3 in Atlanta’s last 10 games and 3-1 in Detroit’s previous four. It is also 5-1 in the last six head-to-head matchups. Take the under for the Falcons-Lions in online NFL bets.
