The NFL Las Vegas odds view the Atlanta Falcons hosting the New Orleans Saints as quite literally a coin flip. The latest spread has this game as a pick ‘em with no team favored in the NFC South clash. The over-under is set at 42 for the rivalry matchup in NFL lines this week.
Neither of these teams has played particularly well over the entirety of the NFL season, but someone has to win the NFC South. The good news for the Falcons is they are coming off a bye, and it could not have come at a better time. Now for the bad news: The last time Atlanta won was before Halloween as the Dirty Birds have lost three straight games.
New Orleans is also coming off of a bye week. The Saints lost 27-19 to the Vikings in their last outing.
Here is a look at my NFL predictions for the Saints-Falcons.
Will Derek Carr Play versus Falcons?
Derek Carr is in concussion protocol and his status is very much in doubt. Honestly, I am not sure if there is a major drop-off between Carr and Jameis Winston outside of the wild turnovers from Famous Jameis.
Carr was spotted at practice at the time of this writing, but in general, we have seen NFL teams be cautious this season when it comes to concussions. It is a good sign that Carr was able to participate in practices early in the game week.
#Saints coach Dennis Allen told reporters that QB Derek Carr was a full participant in practice, a sign he’s progressing through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Saints vs Falcons Pick: Hosts Halt Skid
In the most Atlanta thing ever, the Falcons are planning a massive pregame concert in a celebration of 50 years of Hip Hop. Can the Falcons get a boost from T.I., Ludacris, Quavo, Big Boi and a star-studded crowd? Move, get out of the way to make it to your nearest sportsbook.
Sunday is going to be lit for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop 🔥

This makes as much sense as anything else in this middling division. Jeez, boost aside, I do somehow like the Falcons to get their first win of November. Desmond Ridder has had plenty of time to reset after getting benched for a now-injured Taylor Heinicke
The home crowd (mostly there to watch the concert) will give Atlanta a boost in this rivalry matchup. Give me the Falcons in those Las Vegas odds.
