While the Detroit Lions have been good offensively, their play has not lent itself to being suitable for prop bets. A large part of that has to do with the offense now having one star player, outside of wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. The defense has also struggled, putting the team in bad positions and needing the offense to keep the game close, but no consistency in who steps up.
On the other hand, the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-7) have the star players on offense for prop bets. Especially former No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, who is coming off one of the better games of his career and will now be up against the worst defense in the NFL. With running back Travis Etienne picking up an injury in the last game and possibly limited against the Lions (4-7), the offense could heavily lean on Lawrence and his arm.

Odds: Jaguars vs Lions Props
- Trevor Lawrence Passing Yards Over 252.5 (-115)
- Christian Kirk Receptions Over 5.5 (+105)
Trevor Lawrence Passing Yards Over 252.5 (-115)
It seems cliche to say, maybe even influenced by recency bias, but Lawrence has arrived. Over the last three weeks, Lawrence has been playing, arguably, the best football of his young career, and that was capped off with an impressive performance against the Baltimore Ravens. He led the Jaguars down the field on a 10-play drive, dropping back every time, and threw the game-winning touchdown and two-point conversion.
The possibility of Etienne not being 100% for the game can only put more pressure on Lawrence to be effective in the passing game, which worked last week as he threw for 321 yards. The Lions do not have the defense to stop the Jaguars’ offense, which could lead to Lawrence having another spectacular performance.
Christian Kirk Receptions Over 5.5 (+105)
All signs point to Lawrence having another big day, which means there will be a decent amount of receptions to be spread around. Either Christian Kirk or Zay Jones, if healthy, could hit the over on receptions.
Kirk may have the best chance. He leads the Jaguars in targets and receptions, as well as being the healthier of the two. However, his catch percentage is 61.5%, which was a problem last week, with four catches on nine targets. In the previous game, he had nine receptions on 12 targets. If Kirk can convert on the targets he gets this week, hitting the over should not be that hard.
