My Top 3 TNF Parlay Picks for Lions vs Packers
1. Lions RB David Montgomery to Score a Touchdown (-167)
The first leg of our Thursday Night Football same-game parlay bet will be a David Montgomery anytime touchdown. The Lions running back has been on an absolute tear this season. He has scored in nine of 12 games this season. He leads all running backs in rushing success rate at 50%.
The Packers’ defense has been tough against the run at times, but they have allowed the fifth-most receiving production to opposing backfields. You may think Jahmyr Gibbs is the pass-catching back, but Monty has posted 27 receptions for 277 yards compared to Gibbs’ 28 receptions and 282 yards this season through the air. Both guys are weapons and Montgomery is tied for second in the league with 13 attempts inside the 5-yard line. Don’t doubt Montgomery and back him to find the end zone for the 12th time in 13 games.

Bet This NFL Pick: David Montgomery 1+ TDs (-167)
2. Lions TE Sam LaPorta Over 36½ Receiving Yards (-112)
The second NFL expert pick for our TNF parlay will be for Lions tight end Sam LaPorta to go over his receiving yards.
Detroit’s run game has been elite, led by David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. This benefits the tight end in the play-action game. The second-year tight end has struggled compared to 2023, but he’s been steadily improving in the second half of the season. Last week, Jonnu Smith posted ten catches for 113 yards against Green Bay.
The Packers have allowed the third-highest catch rate to tight ends and the 6th-most yards per game to opposing tight ends. LaPorta has tied his season-high of 6 targets in four of his last five games. Ben Johnson is dialing up plays to get the explosive tight end involved. The Packers have been elite defending wide receivers, so Amon-Ra St. Brown, who is dealing with a knee injury, could struggle at times on Thursday. If he wants to continue this win streak, Jared Goff will need his tight end to produce.
Bet This NFL Pick: Sam LaPorta Over 36½ Receiving Yards (-112)
3. Packers WR Christian Watson Over 44½ Receiving Yards (-117)
The final NFL bet to include in this parlay bet will be for Packers wide receiver Christian Watson to exceed his receiving yards total.
His teammate Romeo Doubs suffered a concussion late in Sunday’s Week 12 win over the 49ers but could return on Thursday. The odd man out will be Dontayvion Wicks.
Detroit’s secondary has been terrible, and they have struggled on the perimeter. DJ Moore just posted 8 catches for 97 yards from the outside against Detroit. The Lions have allowed the most yards per game to opposing receivers.
He reeled in three passes on seven targets for 37 yards in the rain in first matchup against Detroit this season. Last season on the road in Detroit, Watson went for 94 yards on five receptions. I expect a similar stat line this week as the Lions play man-to-man at the highest rate in the league. Watson leads the trio of Reed and Doubs with a whopping 31.5% target rate against man coverage. My last NFL player prop today is to ride with Watson with the final leg of this parlay.
Bet This NFL Pick: Christian Watson Over 44½ Receiving Yards (-117)
