Yes, our Super Bowl predictions include taking a few unders in the prop betting market. After all, what says a Super Bowl party is quite like hammering under bets and rooting for nothing to happen.
While most of my Super Bowl picks will be the best over props, the truth is the value is almost always on the unders, especially for the Big Game. You would probably make a good return just taking the unders for the top players at the sportsbook.
But you also have to ask yourself what your goal is for these Super Bowl bets. Most fans bet on the Super Bowl as a form of entertainment. You know, some people go see “Oppenheimer” or “Barbie.” You’re taking Isiah Pacheco over.
I get it. You do you, but don’t be afraid to sprinkle in a few unders for a super return.
Chiefs WR Rashee Rice: Under 67.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
To me, this is going to be a Travis Kelce game for Kansas City. With that in mind, I think we could see Rashee Rice’s usage drop against the Niners.
Rice has also been dealing with injuries and has not looked quite himself in recent weeks. The rookie wideout has not topped 50 receiving yards in the last two playoff games. The value here is on the under in the Super Bowl betting for Rice.
Bet Chiefs to Win Race to 10 Points (+108)
The 49ers have been held scoreless in the first quarter of the team’s two playoff games this season. San Francisco has scored a total of 14 points in the first half of these two matchups.
First half: Lions 24-7.
Second half: 49ers 27-0.

This paves the way for the Chiefs to get off to a hot start. Kansas City has had much more first-half success in the postseason.
All this has us taking the Chiefs to win the race to 10 points with plus Super Bowl betting odds.

49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk Under 62.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
This is playing the numbers a bit as the Niners have so many other receiving options. It is easy to imagine a Super Bowl where George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, or Deebo Samuel are the focal points of the offense. More likely, it will probably be a combination of all these options.
Aiyuk has not topped 35 receiving yards in two of the last three Niners games. With Samuel having two weeks to get healthier, I am envisioning the playmaker taking some of Aiyuk’s targets.
We’re riding with the under on Aiyuk’s receiving yards in the NFL odds.
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey Over 33.5 Receiving Yards (-118)
Perfect screen call from Kyle Shanahan against the Raiders’ 6-man blitz.
Christian McCaffrey also sees the blitz, turns his head early to allow Brock Purdy to get the ball to him before the rush arrives.

Okay, we still have to take some overs so as not to have our invites removed from Super Bowl Sunday 2024. Check out this fact: McCaffrey has 17 targets in the Niners’ two postseason games. This has led to 11 catches for 72 yards for the playmaker in these playoffs.
I think Brock Purdy is going to lean on McCaffrey against a challenging Chiefs defense. It is not out of the question that McCaffrey could top his receiving yardage prop with one explosive screen pass.
