NFC East Week 9 Props: Bet These 3 Touchdown Picks

  • Key NFC East playmakers set to score could bring big payouts for NFL Week 9
  • NFL prop bets favor specialists beyond skill positions players in divisional matchups
  • The BetUS sportsbook odds boost your potential returns with a 95/1 line!

Hitting the best player props for touchdowns can be difficult to do. You can always bet chalk, which is usually the starting running back to score, but at not ideal odds. That’s not for us. Instead, we like to take shots at longer lines relative to the matchup. Focusing on the NFC East, there is a trio of playmakers who could score big for their teams and backers.

Top 3 TD Bets for NFC East Matchups

1. Eagles WR DeVonta Smith Torches Jaguars D

This one’s almost a layup. Getting DeVonta Smith at these NFL odds to score is a bargain. Not only is he tied with A.J. Brown for the team lead in receiving touchdowns (albeit with two more games), but he’s also more of a red-zone target. Additionally, the Jaguars give up the fifth-most fantasy points to receivers. They allow 1+ receiving TDs a game.

Smith also turns it up during November. In 11 games during this month, Smith averages a 71% catch rate with six touchdowns. This is the month when games start to matter as the playoff race heats up. And Smith, a former Heisman Trophy winner, is all about coming up big in big spots.

Brown is the more explosive receiver. But our money is on Smith being the more sure-handed catcher. Bet him to score.

Bet on DeVonta Smith – 1+ TDs (+160)

2. Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson Finally Scores

Our money is on Dallas to cover the NFL spread and Jake Ferguson is our pick to have a big game. The tight end has yet to find the end zone this season. But he is far too talented to have zero touchdowns. Ferguson is Dak Prescott’s second-most targeted player, including in the red zone. However, none of his targets have resulted in TDs … yet

Ferguson has relatively long odds to score at double your stake. This could be his best NFL player prop for an anytime TD, especially against a Falcons defense that is vulnerable against passing. Atlanta has given up 13 passing touchdowns (around 1.5 per game) with six coming from under 10 yards.

The Cowboys will march into Atlanta’s red zone numerous times, especially with Atlanta’s 30th-ranked third-down conversion rate (49%). And Prescott will throw to Ferguson, who will get his first TD.

Bet on Jake Ferguson – 1+ TDs (+200)

3. Giants KR Ihmir Smith-Marsette Scores off Return

Some of the most exciting touchdowns come from kickoff returns. And we may have found the next stud at that with Ihmir Smith-Marsette. The New York Giants’ new return man dazzled against the Steelers as he added 100 kickoff return yards in three tries. He broke off a 47-yard long return. And against Washington’s prone kick return defense, why not bet him to score for our last NFL pick?

It can’t hurt to throw a $2 bet on Smith-Marsette to take the opening kick to the bank. That $2 bet will get you nearly $200. The Commanders have the edge against the Giants almost everywhere. But the Commanders’ special teams defense isn’t all that. Washington has coughed up nearly 30 yards per kick return.

Washington has yet to concede a kickoff TD. But at Smith-Marsette’s current price, this may be the best player prop bet for Week 9.

Bet on Ihmir Smith-Marsette – First TD Scorer (+9500)
