The Minnesota Vikings (6-2) got back to winning with a Sunday Night Football victory over the Indianapolis Colts while the Chicago Bears (4-4) are bringing up the rear in the division after a loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

2 Top Bets To Make on NFC North In Week 10

1. Lions The Pick For SNF Tussle with Texans

The Lions are looking like the team that was within a half of football from making their first Super Bowl last season. Detroit is living up to the NFL predictions of it being one of the top contenders for the Super Bowl, coming into this week on a six-game winning streak.

Coach Dan Campbell’s squad dominated the Packers on Sunday in a key divisional matchup, winning 24-14 in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score may indicate. Detroit’s offense is hitting on all cylinders, leading the NFL in scoring at 32.3 points per game.

Quarterback Jared Goff is playing some of the best football of his NFL career, completing 74.9% of his pass attempts for 1,840 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has a plethora of weapons, including wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who had seven catches for 56 yards and a touchdown against Green Bay.

And if the passing game wasn’t dangerous enough, the Detroit run game can bludgeon you behind David Montgomery and Jamhyr Gibbs, who combined for 138 yards and a touchdown against the Packers.

Now Detroit heads to Houston to face the Texans on Sunday Night Football. The Lions are listed as 3½-point favorites. Per Lions vs Texans injuries, Houston is dealing with a depleted receiving corps. The Texans lost Stefon Diggs to a season-ending injury and played without top receiver Nico Collins for the past four games.

Collins is hopeful to be ready to return for Sunday night’s contest, which will make things a little easier for quarterback C.J. Stroud. Still, the Texans have lost two of three and will make that three of four after facing the Lions.

2. Under Best Bet in Bears vs Patriots

The Chicago Bears were excited about the offseason additions they made to their offense, notably rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and veteran receiver Keenan Allen. But heading into a Week 10 matchup with New England, Chicago is scoring 21.5 points per game to rank 19th in the league.

Sunday’s 29-9 loss to the Cardinals was a microcosm of the season, with the Bears managing just three field goals. Williams threw for 217 yards and the running game couldn’t get going.

To make matters possibly worse, Williams suffered a left ankle injury late in the game, though he should be ready to go for the Patriots.

I landed wrong and just kind of tweaked it and (on) the last play, the dude grabbed my ankle and gator rolled,” Williams said. “Tried to get off of it because when you stay on it, that’s when bad stuff starts to happen and (it) breaks and all of that. Tried to just let my body go so I could fall and roll with him.”

The Patriots weren’t exactly among the hopefuls to make a playoff run in NFL futures odds this season, so their 2-7 record isn’t a big surprise. But the hope was rookie quarterback Drake Maye would bring some spark to the offense, much like Williams was counted on by the Bears.

Instead, New England is scoring just 15.7 points per game. The Patriots showed some fight on Sunday, falling 20-17 in overtime to Tennessee after Maye threw a last-second touchdown to tie the game.

But a battle between the Bears and Patriots just seems like a game that should end with both teams short of 20 points. The oddsmakers agree, with the over/under set at 39½ points.

We recommend taking the under with your NFL picks for Week 10.

Bet on Patriots vs Bears Under -39½ (-110)

Question Of The Day

What is the all-time series record between the Patriots and Bears?

New England has an all-time 10-5 record against Chicago, though the Bears got the victory in the last matchup in 2022.
