NFC West Player Props for Week 2: NFL Picks on Touchdown Scorers

Week 2 of the NFL season is here, and I’ve got two player props for NFC West action on Sunday.

We were one yard away from going 2-0 to start the season with our prop picks after Kenneth Walker III ran for 64 yards with a 63-yard line. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey scored as expected in the 49ers’ dissection of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Today, let’s focus on the NFC West and highlight two NFL bets I will make on player props.

Christian McCaffrey Anytime TD Scorer (-200)

The NFL boasts an abundance of talent, but CMC stands out as a strong contender, the league’s best running back.

In Week 1, he delivered an exceptional performance against the Steelers, amassing 152 yards from 22 carries and securing one touchdown. He also made us a few bucks as one of my NFL picks to score during his season debut.

As the upcoming matchup against the Rams looms, I don’t foresee a world where LA keeps McCaffrey out of the end zone.

Not only is he among the best RBs of this generation, but McCaffrey also poses a significant threat as a receiver, having hauled in three receptions for 17 yards in Week 1. Since his mid-season transfer from the Panthers last year, CMC has impressively caught four touchdown passes, complementing his seven rushing touchdowns.

While the Rams managed to keep their opponents from scoring rushing touchdowns in the previous week, their ground defense displayed vulnerability, allowing Seattle to average 4.7 yards per carry. Nobody on the Seahawks could carry CMC’s jockstrap, and I believe he’s a strong NFL bet to score for the second straight weekend.

Weekly NFC East Props: Parsons, Waller Among Top Picks

Best NFC South Bets Week 2: Falcons, Bucs Offer Top Props

Darren Waller to Score 1st TD (+900)

While Waller plays for the Giants out of the NFC East, they are facing the Arizona Cardinals, and therefore, I’m adding this NFL betting prop to this list.

Right off the bat, let me say that the Giants looked awful last week, and I would not trust them to succeed against any other team than the Cardinals. You couldn’t handpick a better matchup for New York to rebound.

Regarding Waller’s chance to score the first TD of this game, I like this NFL prop for several reasons. First, if you can believe it, with five targets, three catches, and 36 yards, he led the Giants’ offense in Week 1.

I like this play, not only because the NFL lines are very profitable but because the Cardinals’ defense allowed 11 touchdowns to tight ends and a 77.5% catch rate in 2022.

The Giants looked like trash last week, but their roster is better than that. Conversely, the Cardinals looked okay but are a garbage team with a defense lacking overall talent.
